Virginia's Prince William County admits 4,000 vote error in election tally for 2020 presidential election

(AP) — A northern Virginia county is acknowledging that it underreported President Joe Biden’s margin of victory over Donald Trump there in the 2020 presidential election by about 4,000 votes, the first detailed accounting of errors that came to light in 2022 as part of a criminal case.

I know you probably find that amusing...but that's a mistake of thousands and obviously some work needs done fixing the election system so people can reliably believe the results.

I am reading the linked article and it says:

"In a statement, the county’s current registrar, Eric Olsen, emphasized that the mistakes did not come close to affecting the outcome of any race and “did not consistently favor one party or candidate but were likely due to a lack of proper planning, a difficult election environment, and human error.”

Bottom line it did not affect the results.

I like in the same region as Prince William County regularly hearing their news and friends living there over the years who visit them and stay in contact. As an outer suburban county, comparatively speaking to other nearby jurisdictions, lesser bad news. The typical scattered intentionsl taking of human life, alternative marriage lifestyle of one government representative, hot button handling of immigration over a decade ago has long settled down, but now more dealing with dats center construction issues. Not as much political correctness run amuck, way less controversy in schools. Lot of military from Quantico and Fort Belvior live in rhe county. Overall cleaner politics, not perfect as anywhere, than surrounding jurisdictions.

I mean, you have this example...which I'm unsure of how it happened. You have the example in the thread I made...which was done by voting in the name of registered voters who had no intention of voting and paying them a few bucks for the privilege of doing so.

That one was a matter of luck it was even caught.

If the 2024 election results in a Trump or Republican victory by a slim margin...is all this voter fraud still going to be funny? If they tell you that no voter fraud appears to have happened... will that be a reassuring statement given how long some of this voter fraud took to detect? This is 2024....and this county is only now figuring out the mistakes they made back in 2020?

I think we can say the slim 2 month window is inadequate to prove voter fraud didn't occur...and even if everyone is saying it didn't occur, it's not unreasonable to believe it did because of the rather lacking quality control measures on election fraud. As far as I know, that is the planned defense of Trump regarding his Smith/January 6th case....should it go to trial. His actions won't be judged on whether or not he was correct about existence of voter fraud against him....but whether or not that was a reasonable belief to have in the first place. The more voter fraud found, the more reasonable that belief appears. I don't know if it would get him off of every charge....but it probably doesn't need to.

We're in a sort of powder kwg situation in 2024. Biden looks like he could fall down and never get up....and his mental acuity is so bad, that the special prosecutor who investigated his classified documents basically said he'd be mentally unfit to stand trial for his crimes (and there's no doubt he committed crimes). He's basically the Ruth Bader Ginsburg of candidates...and if he exits this plane of existence over the summer...it doesn't appear as if a backup plan exists to replace him in a campaign.

On the flip side, you have this...

The refusal to air the speech of a presidential candidate. Why? They claim that they have good reasons but lies aren't one of them. If they didn't platform liars....Maddow wouldn't have a show. There's people still watching sources like MSNBC and still believing that they aren't just propaganda....

In short, there's a lot that can go wrong...and it appears that election fraud is another thing to add to the list that is needlessly a problem.

It already happened in 2016 and 2000. even if the system were entirely "fair" according to the votes cast, the basic setup of the system is intrinsically biased in that people from Wyoming count more.

Verses Matthew 25:35-40 should apply, but reality not happening leaving it to county party leaders, to a new very sad development in Fairfax County, Prince William neighbor, in the No. VA suburbs of Washington DC. Since February 22 in this county of 1.2 million people where Dulles Airport is at, all 650 contract workers of the Fairfax Connector, the primary bus transit and commuter system, went on strike six days ago. Sad part is zero bus service from it since then, really concerned for the most needy heavily reliant on it, which county leadership has chosen not to get involved including not working with the nationwide bus contractor to get temporary replacement bus drivers for the duration of the strike. Jesus would have handled this much better for the least of these. Next contractor union and management negotiations with federal mediators March 5, and if those fail as with the previous 12 rounds, the five year bus contract ends April 17. Though some commuters can telework, the poorest without affordable alternative transportation could lose their jobs if the bus strike lasts for weeks. This all in one of the richest counties in the nation, though with high housing costs.
