Maybe we don't know what we are up against, but we do know what we are against.

Not generally, no. What's really odd is that most creationists fully accept the process of biological evolution (whether they know it or not), they just deny the logical consequences of that process.

But those honest folks didn't mention money. ;)

But you're laying your troubles at the feet of science and getting angry at them for not doing anything when it's not them who has to fix them.

I'm more concerned with the logical consequences of the theory than with the process.

I'm against the theory of "goo to you". The rest of it isn't that important.

... You're against the theory of 'goo to you'... but the rest of it isn't important. You've basically contradicted yourself!

But they won't allow anyone else to fix those problems as long as they have power over them.

How is science not allowing anyone else to fix it? How?!

Take our big social problems that are 'under study' by social science experts. Note that they are not being solved, just harvested.

More study, less action. And if action does occur it is often misguided.

Why is it bad to be as accurate as possible about a problem before wanting to fix it?
And how can you be certain that this is purely the fault of science and not the fault of your local government?

I'd ask you to clarify this, but I'm not since these whole things just run the same course with you.

But you keep sticking your nose in to discussions involving evolution and act like it is important to you.

The minutia of evolution theory isn't important to me (very confusing).

I do fault local government, for listening to the scientists. Elected officials are politicians, not scientists, and they run to the scientists first when problems arise. This empowers the scientists no end.

I have often thought about writing to our mayor about the dirty lakes, but I realize that he is under the sway of all those groups that don't want the lakes cleaned up.

If we have problems that should be easily solved there is usually gridlock somewhere, and it's often that the problem is still "being studied" by the experts.
