It has nothing to do with religion! You are making a mountain out of something that does not exist.

That's my point. It should.

According to what I've learned religion governs or influences everything most Africans do. It is very important to them. Sadly it doesn't influence cultural behaviors that are dangerously out of date. Diseases spread by this unsanitary habit is a very serious problem there.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION!! It's about money and basic access to plumping!
You thoughts about it being linked to religion are incredibly myopic and incredibly American-centric.

The subject is how different religions affect the culture of their adherents. The example of Africa and India demonstrates a disconnect that isn't present in Christianity.

The fact that both India and many of the various Africa nations do not have universal access to toilets and indoor plumbing is NOT A RELIGIOUS ISSUE.

That is my point exactly. We are in agreement.

... no, we aren't in agreement, because you have consistently been laying the blame on the religious beliefs held in Africa and India for their lack of toilets.

There is a middle ground, that is that their religion hasn't addressed many of their serious problems, while our has (ours and theirs). It is a fair comparison.

There is no middle ground SINCE RELIGION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! It's purely an economic issue. If these people had the money to get toilets and their national governments had the money to install large enough systems of plumbing, then the issue would be fixed.
IT HAS. NOTHING. TO DO. WITH RELIGION!

Toilets and latrines have been tried. They won't use them. Based on the terrible consequences this becomes a moral, thus religious, issue. That's where the evidence leads me. This onion has to be peeled back further. There are some fundamental problems here that go directly to their religions.

It has nothing to do with morals or religion!

his sons, one of whom is gay (who besides being gay is a pretty screwed up person). But he's my nephew and I love him anyway.
Wow, that's so big of you - loving him anyway despite him being Gay.

Perhaps you missed the bit where homosexuality happens in nature all the time - i.e. it's natural...? You might as well love him anyway despite him being alive.

Religion often imposes itself where it shouldn't. It is enough that God condemns homosexuality. We don't need to add exclamation marks. They get the message.
Why would God condemn something natural?

What any of this has to do with rather universal moral values that theists like to claim exclusive rights on, is unclear (to say the least………..)
I took it to be a reasoned argument that bears that live in woods are not Christians.
