I was only a few hours out of town and someone asked if I had a Michigan accent. I was so embarrassed because I know I sound weird to even people in my hometown. I hated when profs tried to fix it.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone from Michigan before

People use to make fun of my accent all the time, I got called hick a few times too. No one really does anymore, thankfully.

Daniel Tosh (mannerisms I think. Don't watch the show for obvious reasons. But I have been told on random occasions by random people)

The guy from Twilight (not sure which one... One of the main guys. never saw the series, and none of the 15 random people who told me this could give me his name)

and young Colin Firth

This last one is the only one I can agree with.
