Amen to that! One of the worst, crappiest, jobs in the world involves sending out resumes and praying for interviews.

The problem with having two markers for one presentation is that the commercial forester will award 45% for "not following the brief, an essay in powerpoint form" and the bird conservationist will award 72% for a "well researched and excellently presented piece of work". Which then makes you wonder whether your work really was that rubbish/that good or whether one was particularly harsh/rather lenient.


Not that it matters. But still, i'd of rather two similar marks than two at different ends of the spectrum.

The sometimes strange conversations I have with my sister. For example, today I was playing Killzone 2. She sits on the couch and the following conversation proceeds:

Her: Don't you think it's weird that Radec is only a colonel?
Me:I hadn't really thought about it, why is that strange?
Her:It's just not very realistic that someone who was only a colonel would have such wide ranging authority.
Me:Let me see if I understand this: the game features you playing as a space marine fighting space fascists on a planet so harsh the space fascists have evolved into men somewhat superhuman, and the part you find unrealistic is that a colonel in the game has greater authority than a colonel would in real life?
