  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm happy to start!
I have a canker sore, and of course it's right where my jaw closes so it's incredibly painful and makes even eating hurt!
I've practically killed myself pressing salt in it and gargling with alcoholized mouthwash - but it's still there and I'm getting REALLY sick of it. :dead:

I'm tired of dealing with church folk(not Christians) that seem to be the new Joseph smith's of the world.

I'm tired of single people my age insulting my choice or my heart that loved my wife enough to make her mine.

That felt good thanks for that

Wondering why my small church with a worship team that really ISN'T all that (but could be) and uses sheet music even though they play the SAME songs every week doesn't just play the songs STRAIGHT??? Ohhhhhhhhh NO! They HAVE to put their own twist on the music and KILL the songs. Today I felt like going up front and telling our worship leader that the song they were playing way too fast and smiling through is ACTUALLY a slow, prayerful, worship song.
Even the old hymns aren't the old hymns, but the 'new and improved' modern ones with the new choruses because we can't offend the young people by singing the old songs they don't KNOW!
Rant over... :)

On that note, I hate it when the worship leader can't hold a rhythm.

Our church group assigned a worship leader, and she cannot hold a rhythm to save her life. She goes: 1.......2...34...12..3....4

It gives me a headache. I can't even sing in church just because I can't keep up with her rapidly changing time signature or BPM.

Not so much a rant as an amusing anecdote:

Last week my oldest son, who is six, comes running in the house from the backyard yelling to my wife, "Mom, you have to come outside and see the miracle! I can't tell you about it, you just have to see it!"

So my wife follows him outside at which point he says, pointing to the sky, "Look, Mom, clouds!"

To put a little perspective on that, we live in the central California valley, where we do not get much "weather." So, clouds are a rarity.

It's Monday and as always...customers suck.

I love them but they drive me kwazy!!!!

I work Sundays and yesterday was Maintenance Sunday. That means that customers call when the systems are down...even tho we put a notice *right below* where they log in that tells them what is down and for how long. And we send out emails. And then keep calling when the "maintenance" breaks everything. Lovely.

Niffer have you ever tried camphor spirits for your canker sores? My dad used to have me put it on mine when I was young, it worked great! But I can't find it in the stores any more. Hope you found your purse BTW, it IS a sickening feeling! I left mine in a Subway restaurant once, luckily I was able to call them and have someone go find it in the seat where I left it. It would have made me doubly sick because it's a little Mickey Mouse backpack/purse that I got on our honeymoon at Disney World. It has sentimental value!

My rant: I really hate this dang bursitis in my shoulder. It has flared up again and I can't lift my arm above shoulder height right now. :(

My husband is totally incapable of handling ANYTHING that is truly within the range of ordinary "stuff happens". Then he calls me whining and yes, crying about it and wonders why I'm not all warm and fuzzy with him over it. I mean, an overflowing toilet is NOT that big a deal in the greater scheme of things but to him it's then end of the world!
