While watching the final set of a tennis match on the TV set, my wife set the dinner set down on the table just as one of the players set upon the judge for calling his ball out. He had done it before so he seems set in his ways.Try and interpret that using only one of the many meanings of of the word "set"

Where in Scripture does it say we should ignore those who have lived as God intended? It does not say to ignore them...God's word commends them!!! Try Hebrews chapter 11
Where in Scripture does it say to go by your own private theology? How are we going by our own theology when we are going by God's own word?

Where in Scripture does it say one can have slaves? Doesn't James call himself "a bondservant of God and or the LORD Jesus Christ" in James 1:1

It will never cease to amaze me how people can find ways to try and justify something that has NO scriptural support!!!! NONE! Infact it has scripture support only to prove it is wrong! Have you never read The Bible?!

I am sorry, but God's Word is living and powerful and as scripture itself says, His Word is 100% God breathed, Inspired by Him!-Accurate! We are to live by it....not just whatever we feel is right! Then you are subject to run astray with any doctrine that sounds good to you! God gave us His Word for a reason! Live by it and you won't go astray!

I have The Bible to live by.......you have.....well....uh....your feelings?
i really dont know where you're getting this stuff. the entirety of Christianity is not contained in the Bible -- Paul says the Church is the pillar and ground of the truth. i dont know where you get the idea that anything outside the Bible is just "feelings." well Christ founded a Church -- is that just feelings? God still speaks to ppl today -- is a direct experience of God not valid bc its not contained in the Bible? you're line of thinking would say so. what did Christians do before the NT was written? did they go by feelings? or perhaps does the truth exist as absolute truth whether or not its written down? where does the Bible say that every single minute point of Christianity is contained in it? what about someone who cant read? oh my they cant read the Bible! how could they ever be a Christian, right?
