sigh, this is the valentines day where i thought it might be different. I don't know what i'm going to do, probably eat chocolate and cry  and sleep
*hugs Mina* Don't feel so sad. Eating chocolate is great. Buy yourself a small box of Godiva's. Mmmmmm May I suggest taking a nice bath with vanilla bubble bath and oranges? I take a cup of heavy cream and slice one orange and float the slices in the tub. Most invigorating.

I dislike Valentine's Day. It is fairly depressing for singles. This will be my 33rd one and of that about the 18th that I've been depressed. What makes it worse, is that I was proposed to on this day a few years back... but that relationship toileted. I do thank God in some ways for that fact. I just wish I could see God totally, whole heartedly as the only true love I need.

At least Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year--so I won't be subjected to everyone getting flowers and balloons delivered to them at work. One year, I sent myself some flowers and signed a fake guy's name. Gee! I'm soooo pathetic!

I had so hoped and prayed that this year would be different, but it is probably going to turn out to be the worst one yet. It's just too soon for me to enjoy myself.

Sorry, I'm such a gloomy Gus! (hey--you try having 44 Valentine's Days alone and then you'll understand why I'm so down in the dumps!)

Actually, I'll probably go to the library and do some volunteer work on that day.

So what are you all gonna do for Valentine's day?
PM you and wish you a happy Valentine's Day!

I hate that day, so I might as well go around and make people happy. Then that makes me happy.

Another single V-Day...Well, I probably could round up a girlfriend real fast...Now that would be smart, eh? (Breetai hits his head on his bedroom wall because he was thinking stupidly.)

breetai you don't have to round up a girlfriend. i'll hang out with you (unless i'm having that girls night, in which case you aren't invited, sorry).

hey guys why do we let valentine's day be depressing? it's just a day for appreciating the people you love... i think that can mean anyone you love, not just a romantic partner. the rest of it is all commercialized anyway. buy yourself chocolate, spend time with loved ones, and don't stress about not having an SO. God is good, life is good, and it won't do to go around being depressed over the life that God has chosen for us... right?

I'm doing nothing special. Just getting ready for my return to uni on the 16th. Although I'm planning on sending a Valentine's Day card to a friend who's been going through a bit of a rough patch in life at the moment, just to tell her how much I appreciate her as a friend. There's no reason singles can't also display their affection for someone with an overpriced, overcommercialised card on this V-day, the lamest of holidays. ;)

Thank the Lord if you are only single on V-day. I just remembered that my brother-in-law, Jeff, who is a godly and committed man proposed to my sister on V-day almost eight years ago. She left him, the family, and the church this last August, after seven years of marriage. For him it will be a day of mourning, and for us as well. He'll need prayer that day more than anyone else I know.
