"The Virginia governor had sought to restore voting rights to more than 200,000 felons who had already served their time with an April executive order.

But the Supreme Court struck that move down in July, arguing that the governor didn't have the "power to grant blanket, group pardons."

In response, McAuliffe said he'd sign individual orders to grant all 200,000 voting rights. By Monday, he'd reached his first goal of 13,000 and said he'd continue to sign the grants for all 200,000."

Getting the numbers of Democrat voters up for the election and Hillary's coronation.

They mean to win whatever it takes. Do the Republicans?

Good. I think felons should be allowed to vote once they serve their time. I know too many people who became felons over minor stuff like repeated traffic violations. It's not the evil label it once was.

Why are you assuming all the people who were pardoned are going to vote Democratic?
Not all of them, surely, but the presumption is that people who are OK with disregarding the law would be most likely to favor the political party whose leaders do the same. :) Besides, it is a Democrat governor giving them this unexpected favor, so maybe they'll reward him by supporting his party.

No one should be denied their ability to vote. They should have voting in the prisons for those currently incarverated. I don't vote voluntarily and think that if people are really thinking not voting is the way to go, however everyone should have the choice.

Republicans ignore the law just as well as democrats, in fact in a contest republicans might even win. Making laws and obeying them seem to be mutually exclusive.
