You see, I'm working on the assumption that people are going to continue to try to sneak in illegally no matter what we do... surely you consider that most likely true?

Then don't you think we should at least make it as difficult as we can for them to do that? How about making it easier for us to stop them? Putting out food and water for them is like putting food, water, and getaway vehicles outside of prisons for prisoners who manage to break out. As long as they're breaking out anyway, why not at least make it easier for them from that point?

It would be a good idea for them to just bring their own water. I'd never cross a desert on foot counting on there being sources of water to come across. When I bicycle long distances on a hot day, I make sure to bring water with me.

We can do that with three simple words to every Border Patrol Agent: Shoot on sight.
