There is no biblical example of a live human talking to a dead human that is presented as something good. quote] This is simply not so.
Have you not heard this: "Now it came to pass about eight days after these words, that he took Peter, James and John and went up the mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the appearance of his countenance was changed, and his raiment became a radiant white. And behold, two men were talking with him. And these were Moses and Elias, who, appearing in glory, spoke of his death, which he was about to fulfill in Jerusalem. Now Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep. But when they were fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men who were standing with him. And it came to pass as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, 'Master, it is good for us to be here. And let us set up three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias,' not knowing what he said. But as he was speaking thus, there came a cloud and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying 'This is my beloved Son; hear him.' And after the voice had passed, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silence and told no one at that time any of these things that they had seen." From the Gospel of St. Luke, Chapter 9, verses 28 to 36.
In this example from the Gospel of Saint Luke, you will find Jesus praying and being changed by his prayer in appearance and there are three witnesses to this, Peter, James and John. If this were not enough then there appears two persons, Moses and Elias, both long dead at that time but very much alive in glory and seen in answer to Jesus' prayer and not only seen but HEARD to be CONVERSING with Jesus! Now as for you complaint that there is no live human being talking to a dead person, ummmmm Jesus was very much alive at that time and so were Peter, James and John! Moses and Elias had died a long time before this happened yet there they were in glory with Jesus on a Mountain and seen by three very much alive persons who were stunned by God's reply to their seeming very human response, as in setting up tents to worship on the ground of where a miracle of stunning proportions had just occurred --- that is the living seeing the dead and being able to converse with them in response to prayer! Oh my!
It would be reeeeeeallly a good thing if you could respond to His voice and BELIEVE as the Apostles did on that Mountain on that day.
Peace and all good,
Gail
