There's so much wrong in your post I don't know where to begin! Lord have mercy!

Yes, it's like crime in a multi-story car-park. Wrong on so many levels.

Back around '67ish a pastor I knew told of an incident in which he was involved the husband of one of his church members was bed ridden and unable to speak. The pastor visited him regularly, read scripture and spoke to him although he could not respond. After some time the man partially was able to move but not speak. He motioned to his wife that he wanted to write something. She brought a pen and paper. He wrote "Bro. Tony was here, I am ready." That pastor baptized both of my wives and buried one.

All it takes is recognizing one of those errors to prove the OP is in error and doesn't really know scripture.

Well something I have talked about before when debating, arguing or just talking to some fundamentists are other issues like Naïve Realism, the belief or orientation etc. that some people believe they see reality perfectly clearly, and that they are unaffected by their culture, past history, belief systems and so on that filter their experience including doing things like interpreting the Bible....

Many people deny this, and at ealier times like the early Reformation and Enlightenment it was fashionable at times to assume a kind of blank slate, Tabla Rasa view point of, if I could remove you from your traditions, and the influence of religious authorities and just have you read the Bible you would read it perfectly clearly as it was intended. Even the Bible itself on at least one occasion seems to speak against this sort of thing in saint Paul's "seeing through a glass darkly" passage that basically hints that we cannot fully see/comprehend/understand the true full Logos at least on this side of eternity.

My goal is not so much to simply teach Scripture. I also intend to correct much of the false teaching that is prevalent in almost every church building. It is so easy to tell a lie, twist Scripture, 2 Pet 3:16, or teach something out of context but it often takes much time and effort to debunk a lie. But all throughout Scripture many of the key figures also had to correct false teaching. In order for believers to live righteously, according to what Scripture teaches, they have to know what is presented in Scripture, not live their lives based on what preachers say.
I won't mention names because if you like a preacher I was to name, you would ignore or discount what I say. I will just show and give examples of false teaching. This way allows you to recognize when you are hearing a lie or being exposed to false teaching.
The three main reasons for the Reformation were to denounce the unbiblical practices of the Catholic Church, to protest all of the unbiblical things that the Catholic Church was teaching, and to give the common people the ability and right to read Scripture in their native language. For the previous 1000 or so years, otherwise known as the dark ages, the Catholic Church was dominant in matters concerning the bible, faith, serving God, etc. The Catholic Bibles were all in Latin and things read from the bible were read in Latin. The problem was that only the Catholic Clergy and a small number of educated men could read and write Latin. Common people didn't understand Latin. The Catholic Church had outlawed any other translation of the Bible in another language. It was a crime for a commoner to own a Bible. For a period of time, it was the death penalty for an unauthorized person to be in the possession of a bible. Many of the Reformers started off in the Catholic Church and they knew the Catholic Church was misrepresenting Scripture and they wanted the practice to stop. Thus, one of their main themes was "Sola Scriptura," which means, Scripture Alone! One of the main tenets of the Catholic Church, then and now, is that the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church are superior to Scripture and when a Catholic Church's teaching contradicts Scripture, the teaching of the Catholic church supersedes Scripture. One of the Catholic Church's favorite sayings is, " The Church can stand without the Bible, the Bible cannot stand without the Church."
Since Scripture is God's word to believers, when you are going to teach Scripture, you need to stick with what is in Scripture. When you claim to teach from Scripture, you need to show in Scripture, book, chapter, and verse, where Scripture says such and such. God gave clear command to not add or take away from His word:
Deut 4:2, 12:32
Pro 30:5-6
Rev 22:18-19.
Notice in Proverbs, Scripture states if you add to God's word, you are a liar. This ungodly practice, men adding to or taking away from Scripture has been going on since Old Testament times. This study focuses on adding to God's word, teaching things that sound biblical, but are not found anywhere in Scripture. All of the things taught, but not found in Scripture fall under the category of what is called the "traditions of men." Scripture warns against following the traditions of men or the ignorant things ungodly men say:
Isa 29:13
Mat 15:1-3, 6-9
Mk 7:1-13
Col 2:8
1Tim 6:20
1Pet 1:18

I am now going to list many of the statements made from pulpits and believed by those in the pews that are not found anywhere in Scripture, not found in any translation or version of the bible nor in any Greek manuscript. Most of you will recognize some of these sayings, having heard your own preachers proclaim them. You can search, but you won't be able to locate them.

I could add more. The point is if you hear any of these statements made, I would ask your preacher to show you where Scripture teaches this. All preachers are accountable for what they say. If something isn't found in Scripture, then it isn't biblical and should not be taught, period! If it isn't in Scripture, it is a lie, it is false teaching!
I am aware that some will disagree with me that these statements are not biblical. And that is okay with me. I'm not here to have people "believe" me or try to persuade people to believe what I say. The only important thing is that Scripture is believed. If a statement is not found in Scripture, then it isn't Scripture. If you think I am wrong and seek to prove me wrong, you must use Scripture and Scripture alone to show any error. Otherwise, it is just your personal opinion or belief, which doesn't mean anything to me.

My 60 year old cousin who knew I was a believer asked me to come see him when he found out he had weeks maybe months to live. I saw him on a Thursday in urgent care and he passed away the following Monday . He received the Lord when I spent 3 hours alone with him that day. He kept asking me to pray with him and talk with him about the Lord . And he only wanted to talk with me about it and no one else. We hung out allot before I became a Christian in 1980 but not as much after and he knew how my life changed radically and how God blessed me with a wonderful wife and children . Something he never saw with any other of his siblings or cousins , aunts and uncles . So our life speaks to people even without saying anything . And when the time comes God will provide opportunities to share the gospel if we are willing and available. Our God I’d good indeed and merciful even at death and even facing our mortality and the afterlife . I’m just glad he came to know Jesus and I told him it might impact others . I shared that story at his memorial and now his brother and I have reconnected. He is lost as well .

Plead the blood.
There is power in the blood.
I would note that over several decades there
has been "changes in attitudes" in how the
blood is spoken of less and less, as making people
"uncomfortable" with talk of "the blood of Jesus".
This is not surprising, as the enemy knows
"the power of the blood".
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be
a propitiation through faith in His blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission
of sins that are past,
through the
forbearance of God.

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption
through his blood
, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace.
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who
sometimes were far off are made nigh by
the blood of Christ.
Colossians 1
:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
20 And, having made peace through the blood of His
cross
, by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth,
or things in heaven.

1 Peter 1:
18
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed
with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot:

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The work of the cross.
1 Corinthians 1:
17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach
the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross
of Christ should be made of no effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that
perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved
it is the power of God.

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Ephesians 2:16
And that he might reconcile both unto
God in one body by the cross,
having slain the enmity..

Reconcilliation with the Father is the work of the cross.
Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were
reconciled to God through the death of His Son
,
much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved
by His life.

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances
that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took
it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.

Sinners' prayer.
I find the "sinner's prayer" to be a major stumbling
block for the church as used in large setting, "church
growth" outreach. Employing prayer as part of personal
ministry to someone "lost" and seeking the truth, on
the other hand, is a no-brainer.

"My goal is not so much to simply teach Scripture. I also intend to correct much of the false teaching that is prevalent in almost every church building"

Anyone claiming to speak for God outside of the church is not speaking for God. Most of this individual's "unbiblical" theses have been disproved already anyway, not even difficult to do so.
I don't see him claiming to speak for God there. Most people wish to correct what they consider false teaching. We wouldn't have a debate forum if people didn't.

Not to mention, this individual then proceeds to make several statements about this so called unbiblical doctrine that are easily proven to be scriptural. So they should be called out

'Or like it,
"God can't save us unless we allow him to."'

You know how much I love you, but on this point I have to disagree as an Arminian and an adherent of Patristic theology. The early church always maintained that people could refuse salvation, and indeed would refuse salvation by default without thr grace of the Holy Spirit enabling them to respond, if it is their will, to God’s call.

Thank you for your kind words. I don't deserve that.

I've "always maintained that people [will] refuse salvation", too, and still claim it is the default position. But they will not refuse, if the Holy Spirit enables their will to respond positively to God's call. In fact, because the manner of this 'enabling the will' is by his indwelling and regeneration of the heart, though they may refuse for a time, sooner or later all those who are elect WILL respond positively. The "Grace" referred to in TULIP's Irresistible Grace is the Holy Spirit indwelling and regenerating the heart, something that happens to the elect, quite apart from any decision or other work by the elect.

Of course, as I have said before, it is also my view that neither Calvinism nor Arminianism can be proven on a Sola Scriptura basis, and I myself have shifted between them. Recently thanks to our friend @hedrick I have also learned some interesting new things about Calvin that I was previously unaware of.
I'm curious what those things would be.

Luther, from what I understand, understood that doctrine must also answer to reason, and not just Scripture, or at least, that Scripture is understood by reason. To me Calvinism is proved (though I happily admit to the necessity of further definition, improvement and purity of doctrine) by both scripture and reason, and Arminianism disproved by both. Good hermeneutics is good reasoning. I was rather surprised, when I took my first hermeneutics class as a young man, that it was stuff I already thought, and to me simply made sense. I didn't even understand why take the class, until I began to see how outrageous some of the extravagances of 'Christian' thought were.

This all being said, I like your idea of a thread criticizing or debunking what we might call pious sounding platitudes and nominally Christian commercialized cliches. However, considering the OP criticized virtually every aspect of Christian life without explanation, I propose this is not the best thread in which to do it.

I suppose you're right, but it probably won't happen. I was glad to see it, though even I understand why some people would call it hypocritical, as Calvinism/Reformed Theology also uses non-Bible sayings. I was a bit surprised at the tone of the post, that nicely approaches the criticism many level against Calvinists, that they are hateful mean people. It could have been written differently. Perhaps @Bob corrigan should have written several OPs as different threads, each with a few sayings of a kind. For example, sayings that are built around the notion of free will, as concerns salvation in particular, could be used in one thread, while saying that are built around the notion of free will, as concerns the ability of God to accomplish what he has planned, could be used in another.

The person literally said, most all of the church is teaching unbiblical doctrine and this what that doctrine is. That's pretty much saying "I'm God's messenger to show you how wrong you all are."

Notice, they haven't once chimed in here to defend their OP either. Doesn't seem to be very convicted if they can't stomach to hang around and defend their ideas.

My goal is not so much to simply teach Scripture. I also intend to correct much of the false teaching that is prevalent in almost every church building.

Yes, I've always stated that one could spend a lifetime on a pew and still come away not knowing the word of God.

When I found out certain doctrines weren't biblical I stopped letting the church lead me and I have since been on my own because I would rather know what God states rather than what man states written from his own personal sermon that has nothing to do with God's word.

I always tell people, search the scriptures for yourselves. If it can't be backed up in the scriptures (context of verse by verse and chapter by chapter to rightly divide) then that doctrine needs to be thrown out of your minds. And the bible needs to be taken as a whole.
