Anyways, we’re talking about Ukraine and Russia. Lots of history there. It was called “Kieven Rus” 1000 years ago. What would a 240 year old nation state like the USA know of such deep ties.

The Ukraine and Russian issue today has much to do with how it
led up to this.

Putin wants the Soviet Union back and is working to get it back.

Putting the US on notice with the Ukraine and showing the world
that the US putting weapons on Russian borders is what's causing
the escalation, just as Bush did when he put missiles in Georgia.

Imagine Putin putting troops and missiles at the Mexican border.
How would we feel ?
