  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lev 16: 7 “And he shall take the two goats and let them stand before יהוה at the door of the Tent of Meeting. 8 “And Aharon shall cast lots for the two goats, one lot for יהוה and the other lot for Azazel.

The reason lots are cast is because we cannot tell the difference because they are identical in appearance. We will not be able to tell the difference between Satan doing his best imitation of Yeshua and Yeshua Himself. Appearances can be deceiving.

Revelation 12: 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

So many now follow a paganised Jesus they no longer know what the truths of the scriptures are. Jews know that this paganized Jesus is so Greek/Roman that there is no way He could be a Jewish Messiah.

Lev 16: 9 “And Aharon shall bring the goat on which the lot for יהוה fell, and shall prepare it as a sin offering.
Which John the Baptist recognised.
John 1: 29 On the next day Yoḥanan saw יהושע coming toward him, and said, “See, the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world!
What we identify with is who we emulate.
1John 3: 4 Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Everyone staying in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him
and as John the author said
John 11. 7 Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.

IT was all played out in OT as a rehearsal for the day that is coming when it will really happen.
Lev 4: 35 ‘Then he removes all its fat, as the fat of the lamb is removed from the slaughtering of the peace offering. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire to יהוה. So the priest shall make atonement for his sin that he has sinned, and it shall be forgiven him. ..... 5:5 ‘And it shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned, 6 and shall bring his guilt offering to יהוה for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a female goat as a sin offering. And the priest shall make atonement for him, for his sin.
Just like the time when the Passover was fulfilled.
Lev 12: 21 And Mosheh called for all the elders of Yisra’ĕl and said to them, “Go out and take lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and slaughter the Passover lamb. 22 “And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin, and you, none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 “And יהוה shall pass on to smite the Mitsrites, and shall see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה shall pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.

To make atonement upon it...

Lev 16: 10 “But the goat on which the lot for Azazel fell is caused to stand alive before יהוה, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness to Azazel.
Atonement is "at-one-ment". Until the Lord separates us from sin and evil beings, we truly can not be one with Him.
Lev 16:20 “And when he has finished atoning for the Set-apart Place, and the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 “Then Aharon shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and shall confess over it all the crookednesses of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and all their transgressions in all their sins, and shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man. 22 “And the goat shall bear on itself all their crookednesses, to a land cut off. Thus he shall send the goat away into the wilderness.

This fit man spoken of in verse 21 is representing the angel that is coming down in Revelation to seize hold of Satan and his demons. The reason I believe it will be an angel is because of these verses.
Revelation 20: 1 And I saw a messenger coming down from the heaven, having the key to the pit of the deep and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he seized the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and he threw him into the pit of the deep, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should lead the nations no more astray until the thousand years were ended. And after that he has to be released for a little while.

Upon The goat for Azazel is laid all the sins of Israel which Satan has caused to come about. In Revelation 18 and 19 this is what is happening here. We are being told who the culprit is that has brought about all this misery. Satan.

Revelation 19: 19 And I saw the beast, and the sovereigns of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to fight Him who sat on the horse and His army. 20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he led astray those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. The two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulphur. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 18: 1 And after this I saw another messenger coming down from the heaven, having great authority, and the earth was lightened from his esteem. 2 And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, “Baḇel the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, ahaunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hated bird, 3 because all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her whoring, and the sovereigns of the earth have committed whoring with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her riotous living.” 4 And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.1 Footnote: 1Jer. 51:6 & 45. 5 “Because her sins have piled up to reach the heaven, and Elohim has remembered her unrighteousnesses. 6 “Render to her as she indeed did render, and repay her double according to her works. In the cup which she has mixed, mix for her double. 7 “As much as she esteemed herself and lived riotously, so much torture and grief give to her, because in her heart she says, ‘I sit as sovereigness, and I am not a widow, and I do not see mourning at all.’ 8 “Because of this her plagues shall come in one day: death and mourning and scarcity of food. And she shall be burned up with fire, because יהוה Elohim who judges her is mighty. 9 “And the sovereigns of the earth who committed whoring and lived riotously with her shall weep and mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance for fear of her torture, saying, ‘Woe! Woe, the great city Baḇel, the mighty city, because your judgment has come in one hour!’

It is by the blood of Yeshua the lamb that is killed at Passover that our sins are atoned for. It is by His blood that we are redeemed.

Lev 16:15 “And he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, and shall bring its blood inside the veil, and shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the lid of atonement and in front of the lid of atonement. 16 “And he shall make atonement for the Set-apart Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he does for the Tent of Meeting which is dwelling with them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 “And no man should be in the Tent of Meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Set-apart Place, until he comes out. And he shall make atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Yisra’ĕl. 18 “And he shall go out to the altar that is before יהוה, and make atonement for it. And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. 19 “And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and set it apart from the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’ĕl.

Having touched the unclean goat both Aaron and the fit man must clean themselves.

Lev 16: 23 “Aharon shall then come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Set-apart Place, and shall leave them there. 24 “And he shall bathe his body in water in the set-apart place, ...26 “And he who sent away the goat to Azazel washes his garments, and shall bathe his body in water, and afterward he comes into the camp.

Yeshua cannot be the Azazel Goat as some claim.

Azazel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Azazel or Azâzêl (Hebrew: עזאזל, Azazel, Aramaic: רמשנאל,[citation needed]) is a term used three times in the Hebrew scriptures, and later in Hebrew mythology as the enigmatic name of a character.

The term in the Bible is limited to three uses in Leviticus 16, where a goat is designated לַעֲזָאזֵֽל la-aza'zeyl; either "for absolute removal" or "for Azazel" and outcast in the desert as part of Yom Kippur.

Later Azazel was considered by some Jewish sources to be a supernatural being mentioned in connection with the ritual of the Day of Atonement (Lev. xvi.). After Satan, for whom he was in some degree a prototype, Azazel enjoys the distinction of being the most mysterious extrahuman character in Jewish sacred literature

The Brown–Driver–Briggs Hebrew Lexicon

[1] gives Azazel as a reduplicative intensive of the stem azel "remove", hence azazel, "entire removal". This is supported by the Jewish Greek Bible translation as the sender away. Gesenius in his Hebrew lexicon confers with this.

[2]According to some Rabbinic interpretatins Azazel is a theophoric name, combined of the words "Azaz" (rugged) and "El" (power/strong/of God) in reference to the rugged and strong rocks of the deserts in Judea. According to Talmudic interpretation, the term "Azazel" designated a rugged mountain or precipice in the wilderness from which the goat was thrown down, using for it as an alternative the word "Ẓoḳ" (Yoma vi. 4). An etymology is found to suit this interpretation. "Azazel" is regarded as a compound of "az", strong or rough, and "el", mighty, therefore a strong mountain. This derivation is presented by a Baraita, cited Yoma 67b, that Azazel was the strongest of mountains.

[3]The Jewish Encyclopedia (1910) contains the following entry:
The Rabbis, interpreting "Azazel" as Azaz ("rugged"), and el ("strong"), refer it to the rugged and rough mountain cliff from which the scapegoat was cast down on Yom Kippur when the Jewish Temples in Jerusalem stood. (Yoma 67b; Sifra, Aḥare, ii. 2; Targum Jerusalem Lev. xiv. 10, and most medieval commentators). Most modern scholars, after having for some time endorsed the old view, have accepted the opinion mysteriously hinted at by Ibn Ezra and expressly stated by Nachmanides to Lev. xvi. 8, that Azazel belongs to the class of "se'irim," goat-like spirits, jinn haunting the desert, to which the Israelites were accustomed to offering sacrifice. (Compare "the roes and the hinds," Cant. ii. 7, iii. 5, by which Sulamith administers an oath to the daughters of Jerusalem. The critics were probably thinking of a Roman faun.)

[4]Pre-Jewish sources
Despite the expectation of Brandt (1889)[16] to date no evidence has surfaced of Azazel as a demon or god prior to the earliest Jewish sources among the Dead Sea Scrolls.Brandt, "Mandäische Theologie,"

Dead Sea Scrolls and 1 Enoch. In the Dead Sea Scrolls the name Azazel occurs in the line 6 of 4Q203, the Book of the Giants. This is a part of the Enochic literature about fallen angels found at Qumran.

[5] According to the Book of Enoch, which brings Azazel into connection with the Biblical story of the fall of the angels, located on Mount Hermon, a gathering-place of demons from of old (Enoch xiii.; compare Brandt, "Mandäische Theologie," 1889, p. 38). Azazel is represented in the Book of Enoch as one of the leaders of the rebellious Watchers in the time preceding the flood; he taught men the art of warfare, of making swords, knives, shields, and coats of mail, and women the art of deception by ornamenting the body, dying the hair, and painting the face and the eyebrows, and also revealed to the people the secrets of witchcraft and corrupted their manners, leading them into wickedness and impurity; until at last he was, at the Lord's command, bound hand and foot by the archangel Raphael and chained to the rough and jagged rocks of [Ha] Duduael (= Beth Ḥadudo), where he is to abide in utter darkness until the great Day of Judgment, when he will be cast into the fire to be consumed forever (Enoch viii. 1, ix. 6, x. 4-6, liv. 5, lxxxviii. 1; see Geiger, "Jüd. Zeit." 1864, pp. 196–204). “ The whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin. ”

— 1 Enoch 10:8
According to 1 Enoch (a book of the Apocrypha), Azazel (here spelled ‘ăzā’zyēl) was one of the chief Grigori, a group of fallen angels who married women. This same story (without any mention of Azazel) is told in Genesis 6:2-4: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. […] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also afterward, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

1 Enoch portrays Azazel as responsible for teaching people to make weapons and cosmetics, for which he was cast out of heaven. 1 Enoch 8:1-3a reads:
And Azazel taught men to make swords and knives and shields and breastplates; and made known to them the metals [of the earth] and the art of working them; and bracelets and ornaments; and the use of antimony and the beautifying of the eyelids; and all kinds of costly stones and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray and became corrupt in all their ways.

The corruption brought on by Azazel and the Grigori degrades the human race, and the four archangels (Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel) “saw much blood being shed upon the earth and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth […] The souls of men [made] their suit, saying, "Bring our cause before the Most High; […] Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were in heaven, which men were striving to learn."

God sees the sin brought about by Azazel and has Raphael “bind Azazel hand and foot and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert — which is in Dudael — and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there forever, and cover his face that he may not see light.”

Several scholars have previously discerned that some details of Azazel's punishment are reminiscent of the scapegoat ritual. Thus, Lester Grabbe points to a number of parallels between the Azazel narrative in 1 Enoch and the wording of Leviticus 16, including “the similarity of the names Asael and Azazel; the punishment in the desert; the placing of sin on Asael/Azazel; the resultant healing of the land.” Daniel Stökl also observes that “the punishment of the demon resembles the treatment of the goat in aspects of geography, action, time and purpose.” .”Thus, the place of Asael’s punishment designated in 1 Enoch as Dudael is reminiscent of the rabbinic terminology used for the designation of the ravine of the scapegoat in later rabbinic interpretations of the Yom Kippur ritual. Stökl remarks that “the name of place of judgment (Dudael) is conspicuously similar in both traditions and can likely be traced to a common origin.”

Azazel's fate is foretold near the end of 1 Enoch 2:8, where God says, “On the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. […] The whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin."

In 3 Enoch
In the 5th Century 3 Enoch, Azazel is one of the three angels (Azza [Shemhazai] and Uzza [Ouza] are the other two) who opposed Enoch's high rank when he became the angel Metatron. Whilst they were fallen at this time they were still in Heaven, but Metatron held a dislike for them, and had them cast out. They were thenceforth known as the 'three who got the most blame' for their involvement in the fall of the angels marrying women. It should be remembered that Azazel and Shemhazai were said to be the leaders of the 200 fallen, and Uzza and Shemhazai were tutelary guardian angels of Egypt with both Shemhazai and Azazel and were responsible for teaching the secrets of heaven as well. The other angels dispersed to 'every corner of the Earth.'

Excellent posts Visionary. The only thing I might take exception with is the Passover, (which is a memorial offering) but that does not seem to be the point of the thread so I will refrain from stating why I believe that to be of importance. Other than that,

Like the trumpets announced, this event is for the kings and priest of God, whom Yeshua is the chief. Let us go back to the sanctuary as priests and make the sacrifice that is necessary to be one with Yeshua.

It is customary to wear white on the Day of Atonement today, which symbolizes purity and calls to mind the promise that our sins shall be made as white as snow. The linen mitre is a Holy Crown of the King of Kings. This is a royal battle upon which is fought over the Temple of God.

Satan wants to sit on the Throne of God. He will make the ultimate last final show as Yeshua, an imitation of such majestic proportions that it will deceive everyone and if it were possible, even the very elect. It is be so majestic and wondrous that the whole world will wonder and worship him as if he was the real Yeshua on His Second coming to bring in the New Reign. Just like it is in the services, when two identical goats are brought before the congregation, and one is chosen for the scapegoat, so also will we chose to sacrifice the one who is chosen for God and lay the sins of the whole world on the Satan.

In making atonement for himself, the High Priest symbolic was representing Yeshua who is our High Priest who will purge us of all our sins. A particular verse in Isaiah 22:14 talks about those dead before the purging occurs in the Great Day of Atonement. Purging obviously occurs for both inside and outside the believer‘s community; it will have the desired effect among the community of believers while it does not work on others.

This will be the time when the wheat and the chaff will be separated by God forever. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

This work is His, for by Himself he will purge our sins, by the work of the Holy Spirit, they shall be cleansed out of our nature, out of our hearts, and out of our lives. How much more shall the blood of Yeshua, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself which spot to God, purge you from dead works to serve the living God? Wouldn‘t you like it when you have "...no more conscience of sins." The reason I bring this up is because if the appearance of Satan doing the great imitation is going to fool people it is because they may think that his work will be like the first ministry will healing of the sick and bringing the good news.

We know that this has yet to occur for we are all still very conscience of our sins and sinfulness and the need for redemption process by Yeshua. Then you once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. The day will come when Yeshua will not longer offer salvation because there is no more need. But I must warn you that if you lack this understanding then you are blind.

You might even forget that you were purged of your old sins and fall again back to the old habits. You can not look forward to His second coming with sins on your soul. "For the law having a shadow of good thing to come and not the very image of the things, can never ....make the comers there unto perfect....because that the worshipers once purged should have no more conscience of sins" The work of the High Priest (Yeshua) is on the perfecting offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified....Now where remission of these is, there is not more offering for sin" So when the Day of Atonement is over in heaven there is no more offering for sin, judgment comes (the plagues), and the end of the world.

The first marriage was at the foot of Mt Sinai, where the Lord took to wife Israel, but the second marriage, or re-marriage hasn‘t taken place yet, we are all still in a state of betrothal. This is to make sure this will be our final choice for a husband, because this marriage will last for eternity. There was one marriage covenant with God, and those people broke this or as scripture says ―the fault is with them.

Yeshua has come to re-new that marriage covenant with us humans. Remember all are invited to the wedding but they have to have the proper attire (pure garments) but the marriage is between God and the human race. Now the Bride may present herself spotless before the groom. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his Statutes, and to keep his commandments.

It is God who can make you perfect. It is His law that is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. I hope you will be able to say ―I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. And say also ―I have seen an end of all perfection: but your commandment is exceeding broad. Because you know the path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. You see all the Lord is looking for in the final harvest are those who by faith are walking in truth in the last days.

It is in the last days of earth‘s history that the concept that the Lord has wanted perfected in the minds of men, is that it is possible to obey His laws perfectly, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the example of our Lord Yeshua and as Jeremiah says ―…the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days you shall consider it perfectly. So let us strive to be like God ―Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

We are not idle sideline watchers of what is transpiring before our eyes. We are active participants. Our hearts desire is to be ready, imitation of Him, and fit like the 144,000 in whom is no guile. Those who have become perfect in the last days when the world will become so wicked, they will shine in contrast just like Yeshua predicted when He prayed to His Father, ―I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

This can only be done with the constant dwelling on the Holy Spirit, which has to be invited in to stay and transform your life with the renewing of your mind with His world. Just as when Yeshua came to take away the priest ministry from the earth, to perform the final works of salvation, so must we also become the part that fulfills the prophesy of perfection in Yeshua that He is waiting for. As 2 Timothy says ―That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. And being made perfect, Yeshua became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

So let me challenge you to move on leaving the principles of the doctrine of Yeshua and into the deeper matter for which is the body of Yeshua. It is unbelievable that God believes we can be perfect. But we need to understand what is perfect in His eyes. It is not perfect like a perfectionist views it; it is perfect in His eyes when with our character and personality we do His Will. So how can we be perfect? Our perfection comes with looking into God‘s kingdom and in His law that is the perfect law of liberty, the one to be written in our hearts, so that we are not just forgetful hearers but doers. It is a continuous learning process where we do the things that God has shown that please Him and as we do them we get better and better at it. I am not saying that this is going to be easy or that it isn't painful at times, but God knows that surgically removing sin from your walk in this life can and does hurt.

Many have been taught that it is impossible to be perfect as God is but Yeshua is our example that it is within all of our reaches. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. So what will help you understand how to be perfect? What do you need to focus in on that will help you understand the will of God? The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. So be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Yeshua said, "If you want to perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." And for some people that is exactly what it will take to separate them from the things that do cause them the most trouble when it comes to following God.

Only when you have rid your mind of the things of this world can you see clearly what is His. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. Many do not understand the changes that go on in the life of a believer, some changes are small and undetected by the world, others are influencing and effecting those around the believers, but the change brought on by the working of the Holy Spirit are changes that have an everlasting effect. Because when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

We have must be able to have the faith that Yeshua offers. What is that faith? It is to be like Him. Look at verses thirty-eight of chapter 11 again. These people who do leave the worldly ways are not the popular people of earth.

What does that mean? They didn‘t receive the promise. Every one of them thought they were going to. Abraham honestly looked for the city where God lives, but they received not the promise. Does that mean they never will get it? No. God having provided some better things for us and one of them is that the last day people will finally get it, and then perfection comes to them.

By now you are thinking what has this to do with Satan. You know they say that one must study the true currency [dollar bill] and then when a false one shows up it will stick out like a sore thumb. So if we really understand what God wants and expects from us, then we can see the phony a mile away.

Amen!

And NONE of this can happen as long as we continue to buy into the grace=law is null and void doctrine that is widely permeated in the 'church' today.

There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Pv 14:12; 16:25

The new covenant is the Torah written upon our hearts and minds. But in order for that to have any effect we can not deny that the Torah is not for us as children of G-d by adoption.

The child of the Parent does not tell the parent I do not believe in your rules, your standards and your ways. Such a child is in rebellion and scripture declares that, that child will be disciplined.

I wrote this in another thread somewhere but we wonder why 99% of professing believers seemingly lack any real walk of holiness, righteousness and power? How can such a thing occur when most outright reject G-d's instruction? That is after all what Torah is.... if you reject instruction you can not learn, if you do not learn, change can not occur.

We can not become the bride if we are still married to the old nature. If we keep trying to revive that thing and persist in being with it... WE MUST ISSUE a divorce decree to it... it must be placed on the alter and slain so that we can be FREE to be in union as a bride without spot or wrinkle. Then we can get off the diet of milk because we are unable to take anything more than that.... you would NEVER give an infant anything but milk because it is unable to process it.

A baby can not defend even itself let alone gird itself for warfare. It is unable to do anything but cry for its own need and want. We must grow and become mature so that we are transformed by Yeshua to be that bright light that the world will utterly hate. Some will be drawn to that light, most will recoil in hatred of it... we can not serve the self and G-d we must choose where we stand.

As you can see from the verses provided, that is what all of creation is waiting for, perfect in our Messiah is possible, and with God all things are possible. Now let‘s go back to the temple to see what else the Lord will on the Day of Atonement. ―And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. There were two scapegoats brought before the temple.

And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

One was for the cleansing of the temple of all the dealings with sin, once and for all, which is what Yeshua is going to finally accomplish. When this sacrificial goat was appointed, the high priest pronounced, "For God" and the throngs of worshipers would fall on their faces and call out, ―Blessed be the Name; the glory of His kingdom is forever and ever. Then the goat was slain. From there the goat of God is no longer before the congregation, and what they are left to see before the temple is the other goat.

I have yet to figure out about the goat for the Lord being sacrificed in the sanctuary. I know the two witnesses will be sacrificed and have often wondered if there is any connection there.

When the atonement is accomplished in the sanctuary, the congregation will see the priest come out. First the high priest symbolically placed the sins of the nation on the head of the live goat. He did this by laying both of his hands on the goat‘s head while confessing the sins of the people that had been in symbolically placed there by the blood of the lambs sacrificed over the year.

Then, with the sins taken out of the temple they were placed on the head of the scapegoat, the high priest sent the Azazel (scapegoat) off into the wilderness. It was a dramatic picture of God‘s willingness to separate His people from their sins forever. Just as the blood was necessary for covering, when the death plaque was passing through Egypt, so here it is again. All sins that are not covered by the blood of Yeshua are condemned.

It is only be the blood of Yeshua that we are cleansed of sin, "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

This casting the smoke of the incense filled with the fire from the altar and cast to the earth is the believer‘s covering so that they will not die from this point on. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses. Take a look ...the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God" and the similarity found in "because of the cloud for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord."...significant is its relationship.

There is also the dark side, the imitation that is so great that many will fall under the bewildering guile of the great deceiver. The image of the beast will not be able to stand, its day is over. Imitation of Yeshua by Satan before the Lord's second coming is the time when you have Satan before the Temple of God declaring he is the Christ worthy of worshiping. Noticed I used "Christ" because of the type of savior that comes to mind.

This is the only time in History where you will have the great deceiver pretending to be Yeshua. This is why there were two identical goats brought to the temple on the Day of Atonement. The prophetic implications are that this is the time that Satan will be before the congregation, for the world to see, representing himself as Christ.

Well, in order for Satan to do a good job he will have to manifest himself as a majestic being probably of dazzling brightness, and probably resembling the description of the Son of God given by John. ―And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. There are several things that he cannot copy, and one is that he will not come in the flesh and the other is he is not Holy nor can he imitate what Yeshua is.

So it will be here in the last days of earth's history that there will be a blindness "In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the likeness of God."

"And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:..."

God‘s children have the promise that He ―will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress. The plagues are about to fall and they will not affect the children of God. They are covered from the plagues like days of old by the covenant.

Its also noteworthy that this false "messiah" does not come as the suffering servant but comes as the ruling (false) messiah to take the throne of David (conquering king)

The world seeking the conquering king will gladly follow him

Good point.
Prov 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish”.
I say that where there are many "false" visions, the people swayed to and fro by them. IT is the solid foundation of scripture and cleansing process of the Holy Spirit that will keep your from getting lost in the confusing array of suggestions that would lead you away from the truth.

The Key is a personal experience with Him, as He is the Truth, the Way, and Life. If He isn't your instructor in scripture, then who is? Please notice that is it after the two witnesses have finished their testimony, and those that would be affected by this testimony have been converted, convicted, renewed and transformed by the testimony and by the workings of the Holy Spirit upon them. The only ones left to be deceived are those whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world. It is that same spirit that has lead every writer in scripture, that should lead us.

Maybe that is why you are noticing so many books, studies and comments from believers on the subject of the end of time. The Holy Spirit is moving upon the minds of men to study this subject now more than ever. The Holy Spirit is also inspiring them on the subject in answer to their prayers regarding the last days of earth‘s history.

Since we have clouded and befuddled minds full of this worldly religion, our minds relates everything it understand to what we already believes or have yet to be convicted of. If the conviction goes against what we believe, it takes longer to convert, if conversion will occur. This is where controversy lies. If you have ever found yourself not experiencing the peace that passes all understanding, then prayerfully re-examine that which you believe.

The Holy Spirit is pressing an important conviction of truth upon you for your salvation. The controversy will end when you stop wrestling with the Word of God to fit what you have already been told. The controversy will end when you allow God to lead you into all truth. Unless you are lucky to be like Paul with a Damascus experience, it will be extremely hard for you to believe that you are fighting God's work. God wants there to be no question in anyone‘s mind when he returns. He is calling every one to come talk with Him now.

The Presence of the Holy Spirit should bring deep convictions of sin and a serious need to repent. Like Daniel 9:18 we are going to find "My comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength."

Remember no teacher can take you any further than they themselves have gone. Your one and only true teacher, who can take you into all truth is the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God. If it is from our Father in heaven, then it is good for the soul, and will last for all eternity.

In order to study the whole Bible in a way that will bring forth the fruits of the Holy Spirit that God wants for His People today, we need to accept more of God‘s Word as ―is‖. Taking God at His Word and all of His Word as applicable when God reveals it to be so is The Way God teaches His people. Taking the Word of God, which can be found in the context of an historical event, and applying it today in our hearts can lead us to better understand Him in how He sees and deals with different situations. Too much time has been spent dividing up the Word of God under different tense categorizes; this verse is under ―was category and this verse is under ―is category. God does not change, so why would His Word? That is what makes the Word of God solid no matter what generation reads it. It never changes and will always be the safest place to find out whether these things are so.

As you can see from the verses provided, that is what all of creation is waiting for, perfect in Christ is possible, and with God all things are possible.

You appear to have left out a third goat Vis, (I have read everything in this thread). Neither of the two goats from Leviticus 16 are to be eaten: obviously the one to/for `Aza'zel is sent away into the wilderness-desert alive but also the one whose blood was brought into the sanctuary to make atonement shall not be eaten, (Leviticus 6:30). There are likewise the twice daily tamiyd-continual offerings and those two lambs also are offered in that day. But besides the twice daily continual and the two goats of Leviticus 16 there is another goat which is to be eaten-consumed by the priests. That sin offering goat is referenced in Leviticus 10 in the same day that Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire and died.

Leviticus 6:30
30. And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

Leviticus 10:16-20
16. And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
17. Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
18. Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
19. And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?
20. And when Moses heard that, he was content.

If therefore we are to fully understand what has and will take place, (each in his or her own appointed times) we must surely first have all of the information that is available to us. Where then is this third goat found in Torah, (a third goat aside from the twice daily offering)?

Numbers 29:7-11
7. And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
8. But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the Lord for a sweet savour; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish:
9. And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram,
10. A several tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:
11. One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.

If then the third goat of Numbers 29:11 is most holy and to be consumed-eaten:
Who and what is represented by the one chosen by lot for the Most High in Leviticus 16? :D

Since the third goat is not part of the atonement I didn't bring it up. I have not studied the third goat of Number 29:11 which is to be consumed.. Good find.
