Turn-ons: randomness and humor, joy found in Christ, guys that challange my faith but don't exasperate, adventure sport oriented/ an Edge, open heart to change (repententent heart like David), Integrity like Joseph in the bible, Independent, Initiator, Fiscally responsible and REAL verses Plastic.

Turn-offs: Men who don't think for themselves, "boxers" - put others in some neat box - stereotyping, gender issues (seeing me only as a woman and not being able to see me at some level of similarity), concrete "only thinkers, passive and wishy washy (half in and out of a decision).

I agree :) uniqueness is awesome :) it's just annoying to see a bunch of sheep willing to follow eachother over a cliff.

Turn on: Sincerity, honesty, respectfulness, good hygiene, faithfulness, a keeper of his word, confidence without being cocky and arrogant, loving of animals, appreciative of my quirks and individuality, witty or chipper sense of humor, able to laugh and be funny but knows when to be serious if the time calls for it...

Turn off: Smoking, excessive drinking, hatred towards people, unforgiving, easily prone to anger, easily gives up when things get hard, foul language, lusting over any female around him, treating me like something to have sex with instead of something to commune with...

Turn on: A good heart.
Turn off: An ugly heart.
 was just talking to someone about this last night lunalinda. This is definitely the top priority. The one thing I've noticed with PEFect Christian marriages that ended in Divorce was an unrepentant heart. They started out strong, but in the end their heart wasn't like David.

......, mental problems, .......
definitely twistedsketch. Would psycho obssesive count? I think some try to play it down by saying its jealousy.

Yes, I scratch my head when I encounter people like this. I wonder if they are robots. It's prob a safety zone or makes the person feel comfortable, not making waves. Jim Jones and the koolaid thing is prob one scary incident of this type of thinking and how some fall into cults. I think we're all vulnerable at some point or have a degree of following, otherwise your truely eccentric. ...or I mean wierd if your not rich.

Turn-ons: good sense of humour; compassionate; the ability to have an intelligent conversation, even if we have opposite views, without it turning into an argument; love of books; geekish tendencies; tolerant (to a degree); willingness to consider other viewpoints.

Turn-offs: Smoking, drinking, drama queens, seeing negativity in everything, conspiracy theorists (the obsessive ones).

Kristy Anne, I'd agree on a lot of these. Some pretty good ones. I definitely like guys who have a willingness to consider other viewpoints, in CHristian circles this can be hard to find. I don't mean open to anything though, that's maybe universalist or one with God type thought, that's too out there for me, not attractive at all.

Turn On's: Good sense of where they want to go in life, Strong mental and phsyical presence.

Turn Off's: Being a leach, lazyness, not willing to comprimise.
TExas Hillbilly, I like these, some good ones.

TURN ONS: Graciousness, considerate, giving people the benefit of doubt before shooting them down in flames.

TURN OFFS: Arrogant, rude, believes they are the only ones who are right (as in believe that I / others have only two things wrongs: Everything we do, and everything we say.)

i hate it when someone says your food is disgusting. WHILE you are eating it.
This I would see as the height of rudeness.

(Just by-the-by: People say that you can tell a South African, b/c they usually are very appreciative in a Restaurant when the guy comes round and asks if everything is alright - even if the food was the worst they have ever eaten.)

Rather have good manners, even if you aren't telling the straight truth. :)

yeah, it is rude! i dont get it. i wasn't brought up that way. i mean its one thing to talk about food with someone who agrees its bad, but one thing to tell your friend that their food is gross while its in front of them. i've just decided to answer "thanks, thats why I'M eating it"
