Utilize The Keys. It's frustrated tonight, you wish you could stop wanting to be married but can't deny God says it's good & desirable.
Oh well, music in church was good today. Good messages. Lot to rejoice over tho your flesh (sinful nature) don't want to
The truth is a lot of people were created to be single
& the Lord is the Door!Utilize The Keys.
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" Matthew 16.
"And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open" Isaiah 22.
"Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades" Revelation 2.
If you could time travel back 2000 years to the time of Jesus, would you prefer to be single or married?Just as everyone has a master, everyone is married to someone and/or something. If you are married to the Lord, be faithful like a marital covenant
Oh, I see your point. If you could time travel back 2000 years to the time of Jesus, would you prefer to be single or married?
Yep, trueWhatever choice you make, I believe we can all find our way to prioritize our relationship with Him.
Here are the notes from the revelant part of the discussion!Today in church we discussed singles who want to be married & are not is not a sign of God's judgement on them.
Shortly after I posted that I stumbled across one of those Christian Traditionalist pages saying how good marriage is & how God says it's good & you should get married b/c God said so, & I just felt heartbroken. Here are the notes from the revelant part of the discussion!
A lot of people think Biblical mandate for having children b/c God tells man to multiply in Genesis & tells Abraham how many his children will be, & how children benefit us (your family line & social expectation).
But God says we are really his children.
Zechariah & Elizabeth would've thought God was punishing them & they weren't being obedient enough, or they did something wrong, or it was b/c of their parents' sin, but God saw them as righteous. When we make mistakes, yes, there are consequences, but God is working his grace thru them.
Here's some more“If I said something wrong,” Jesus replied, “testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?” John 18.
“You say that I am a king. The reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
“What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this, he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest"
God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. Acts 2.
Who is The Risen King? Truth. The Word of God. And The Word Became Flesh.
