That's what people are voting for. It really doesn't matter if Trump is suspected of having Dementia. They get the Republican ticket and that is Trump and if something happens to Trump, they then get Vance.
Yeah, it does seem that way. If only the Republicans could put up a more moderate candidate.

Clarifying any policies? NOPE.
I wonder what it would take to change someone's minds about being so ardent for Trump.
It is beginning to look like nothing can.

In the same way there are many people voting for Harris simply because she's not Trump, there are quite a few people voting for Trump simply because he's not Harris.

The 36% who think the US is going in the right direction matches the 25% who think the economy is good. So "direction of the country" tends to be an economic question.
Do you mean that there's significant overlap between the groups, or are you just saying that the percentages are close, therefore they're the same? Care to provide a source?

It has always been my experience that "direction of the country" has been closely tied to economic issues.

There was high inflation and unemployment in 1980 when Reagan won election and the satisfied numbers were 33%
The numbers today are 22%
You can do your own research to see how closely economics track satisfaction.

Gallup has the number of all that sort of thing.
It usually is the current administration that is changed when the numbers are low.
That is also what the election predictors are saying.
The incumbent doesn't win win if the numbers are very much below 40%.
That "were you better off 4 years ago than you are now" is being asked today.

Pretty poor reasons.

What does it say about Kamala if Trump defeats her by closing with Arnald Palmer's stuff? I honestly think that things have gotten so bad since Biden took office that most people don't even care about these things anymore.
What? Trump takes a rally into the gutter with locker room talk and you think it's somehow a reflection on Harris? What sort of bizzaro world are we living in when that comment could even be considered appropriate?

I was reading The Guardian this morning and on the first page of the online edition was a headline 'Trump rebuked by Arnold Palmer's daughter for fawning over late golfer's penis size'. Now that is a line I'd expect to see in The Onion. Or heard on SNL. Or maybe a tasteless joke on a late night show. If it was talked about in the context of a few boys having a beer, I might think it odd. If it was in mixed company I'd ask whoever was talking trash to back up the truck up a little. But this was a man standing for the highest office in the land. In public. Talking to a crowd containing women and children.

It's not normal. It's positively abnormal. No reasonable person would ever consider it to be appropriate. It's shockingly out of touch. Utterly tasteless. Unbecoming.

How did your politics end up like this? You have become a laughing stock.

I’m voting for a leader, not a homecoming king/queen.
If I was in a mixed group with my family and someone started talking about the size of some guys genitals I'd tell the guy to button it. It would not be appropriate. Would it be OK for you? I wouldn't have thought so. But it's OK for someone who is is standing for the office of President to say such things at a rally?

Do you see your inconsistency here? Trump isn't willing to die for his country...
We already know that. He managed to get out of being conscripted 3 times. Or was it 4?

Edit: It was actually 5.

It is probably not a good idea to bring up Vietnam.
Notice the Democrats avoid discussing Trump's position on that war.
There is still lingering bitterness.
American lives were lost and resources squandered in that war. And we lost.
That is why Trump doesn't hide it. He said "I wasn't going to Vietnam"

The slogan was, what if they held a war and nobody went?
Go listen to Country Joe and the Fish. Vietnam Song.

You made a claim. Back it up. That which is presented without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Personally, I agree with Walz's assessment, though it's perhaps a bit rude to say out loud.

Here's the thing: No, I don't like Trump. Yes, he's said some very horrible and crude things. I will not deny that.

I am voting for the candidate based on POLICIES. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't like either candidate that much to begin with. I find it so disappointing to be honest.

His position? Over 2 million men were drafted. It must have been nice to have a rich daddy to ensure Donald didn’t meet the qualifications.

Let us know when Harris/Walz go as low as Trump in that regard. It’s a long way down to match him.

The democrats are much worse than Trump. The only difference is the democrats think their filth is politically acceptable such as orange man, nazi and racist. Are they so dense they don't even reallize that is name calling?
And the Dem Senate candidate in my state can't speak a sentence without the "f" word. And sometimes the "f" word is the sentence.
