Dorian's track was influenced by a high pressure system to its (IIRC) north and east that, itself, was morphing and moving southwest. The slower Dorian moved and the more time went on, the more time this high pressure zone had to get out of the way and allow Dorian to turn north. By the time Trump made his tweet, the storm had already started turning north - there was basically no going back at that point. As to how sharply it would turn would depend on how quickly it and the high pressure zone moved around each other, but there was nothing there to push it back to the west.
Path of least resistance.
I guess that's why he's had such high turnover and why he's had a hard time recruiting replacements...
There's no shortage of people who would love to be in there. In fact, many give up because of the crud the SC justice had to go through.
Uhh, posting on a public Twitter account as the President of the United States, that's exactly what he's doing.
Uhh, not really. I don't have a Twitter account. I could care less what's posted on Twitter.
So it's not his fault? It's an advisor's fault? But you just said that he "knows where to find advisers"
People make mistakes. I guess you're perfect.
If he copped to making a mistake, I don't think he'd get much argument from the left.
Oh, but there would be the 'You see? He is stupid." The few times he has done so, all it does is make him appear weak.

I am pretty sure he’d gain a lot more credibility and respect with “folks like me” if he had the integrity to admit his mistakes.
Maybe you, but not folks in general.

That wasn't merely a weather report, Jesse. Jeepers.
Jeepers, must I go to an economist to determine how tall my building should be? Or did you miss the point. Watch Weather Channel if you want to know where the hurricane is going.
Seeing as how Donald Trump has lied about it not raining when it had been, of course there's no chance I'd trust his word on anything. However, many folks, quite reasonably, do expect that the President of the United States should have the most currently available information about a catastrophic hurricane heading towards our country. That's a wee bit bigger of an issue than rain, don't you think? Donald made the choice to tweet about the hurricane. He made the choice to not bother to be attentive to the facts, to be careless. To then compound his wrong by insisting it was right when it wasn't.

Since you want to bring up President Obama so bad, look at how he conducted himself during the hurricanes that happened during his terms. He never gave wrong information then had himself a giant tempter tantrum insisting that the wrong info was right.
What's a tempter tantrum? My point, again missed, is that, the info he had in front of him showed what it showed. If you see the predictions he was going off of, you would see that he was right. Of course, the latest info would have been better, but so what? He either didn't receive it in a timely manner, someone showed him old info, or whatever.

Out of curiosity, can you instance some examples of Donnie admitting to error...?

Not blaming a colleague or staffer, but actually offering a mea culpa of his own...?

You can’t understand a simple question, rhetorical or otherwise...?

Allow me to answer it for you...

No, you don’t have a President...
I don't see a coherent question. Rhetorical or otherwise. But I'd say we didn't have a president from 2009-2016.

I have already provided an example of where he made a statement and it wasn't accepted as something he meant.
Are you talking about Donnie Osmond? I don't know any other Donnie.

How appropriate that you place “truth” in quotes, when referring to Trump.

And your final sentence makes no sense...grammatically, rhetorically or linguistically...
Being able to rite gud is antithetical to being a patriot.

Then why are you here talking about what Trump posted on Twitter?

People make mistakes. I guess you're perfect.

I never said I expected him to be perfect. Don't gaslight me.

Oh, but there would be the 'You see? He is stupid." The few times he has done so, all it does is make him appear weak.

The mistake makes him look kind of careless. Lying about it and refusing to acknowledge the error makes him look weak and dishonest on top of careless. His fans lying about it makes them also look weak and dishonest.

Trump's theatrics on this are pathetic beyond repair.

There is absolutely no justification for him to have obsessed about something this incredibly trivial while there's a deadly hurricane hitting the country. It's just disgusting, childish, selfish behaviour.

Even if he had actually been right - which that's disputable - when people are literally dying bc of a natural disaster you don't quibble over a tweet. You don't divert attn away from that to yourself all bc of feeling the need to be right over a tweet! That's showing that ALL he cares about is feeling like he's right.
