He's committed adultery several times.

Apparently he doesn't think that may necessitate forgiveness from Presbyterians.

Again...not familiar with thwir dogma.

Lil help?
He admitted he doesn’t ask forgiveness for his sins.

I will leave it at that.

Many of the humanitarian functions of USAID are going to continue under The State Department, but the details have not been published.

So Rubio claims. I'll believe when I see evidence reported from aid organizations in those countries.

That's actually funny. White. Evangelical. Christians. Where's the emphasis in this label? White, evangelical, or Christian? "Progressives" tend to think all three are bad. Yeah, that's really going to get "Progressives" the "Whites," "evangelicals," and Christian votes.

Somehow I don't think "White Evangelical Christians" are the only ones who're hoping to eventually go to Heaven, or reach Nirvana, or whatever you want to think comes later. I really don't. Atheists, who look forward to a dreamless sleep of non-existence, are excepted. And no, that's not a slur. Isaac Asimov said as much in an essay. And yet when we have a public figure express the same thing most are hoping for, in the exact same way, by "good works," then it's immediately labeled as appealing to an imaginary "voting block," even though Christians immediately pick up on how it's trusting in one's own works and not Christ.

Taken at face value, Trump's statement is no different than an average American saying "I'm a good person. I hope I make it to Heaven." None.
White Evangelical Christians is not a term I made up. Pew: "White evangelicals continue to stand out in their support for Trump". It's who they are. And no, that voting bloc and the power of that voting bloc is not imaginary. And let it be said those Christian power brokers who have Trump on speed dial see it as means for power for they themselves. (Maybe not Jerry Falwell Jr so much now). Perhaps you don't live in the states?

Taken at face value, the average doesn't play a charade of faith in order to use those of faith to get a desired outcome.

What about calling Holy Communion wine?
What about it? It’s called the Blood of Christ, or for those who don’t accept the real presence, communion wine.

So saying wine is okay. And I'm assuming saying bred or wafer is also okay, when describing the elements.

When its in the bottle on the shelf, is it "wine" then?
I was charged with adding some water to the wine in the chalice (the chalice from the palace?) before communion (head choirboy doncha know). It wasn't treated as anything sacred at that time.

I guess its best if people taking communion aren't thinking about wow this is a great pinot noir or whatever.

One of the elders in our church couldn't find the sweet wine she usually buys. She bought MD 20/20, which I thought was hilarious. She didn't really know its history amongst the youth of our great land. I did think during communion, "This brings back unfortunate memories."

And? A barber could have come up with it cutting the football coach's hair and it would still be funny.

My guess is that you're not a White Evangelical Christian, otherwise you'd know that as a "voting block," it's about as unified as a church business meeting. It's more of the Democrats saying "We don't want you," and voters taking them at their word.

The amazing thing is that an average person can say that they hope they've done enough good things to get to Heaven and people think nothing of it. Trump says pretty much the same thing, and people think there's a political ulterior motive.
