Jeremiah 31:18-19 (KJV) 18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself [thus]; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed [to the yoke]: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou [art] the LORD my God. 19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon [my] thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

This is true Biblical repentance. God gives repentance, 2Tim. 2:25.

Repentance comes with the new creation. All those born of God repent. They can do nothing else. Repentance is the sorrow we know because of our sin.

As long as we live in this body of death we sin with every breath. Our minds are filled with sinful things constantly. Only a self-righteousness person would deny it. But our repentance isn’t trying to be more spiritual or seeking to make the flesh quit sinning, it is simply hating the flesh and resting in Christ alone.

By all means wage war against yourself daily. But do not call that repentance. When we start looking at how much or if we have repented we have taken our eyes off of Christ.

Those men, such as MacArthur, who constantly preach and look for repentance are pointing you away from rest in Christ alone.

Just as I am, does this answer your questions?

Why preach repentance? Is Jesus not enough?

Peter preached repentance to the Jews, they still need to repent of their religion. All New Testament preaching of repentance was aimed at religion not at particular sins. When the Lord preached repentance He was talking about religion. Their religion was sin.

You did not answer my question brother, is repentance turning from sin or changing ones mind? If turning from sin it's impossible.

Both. It's a turning from sin and a change of mind.

then "when " Yahweh or Jesus called you, did you listen ?

The particular sovereignty of God in hearing:

Matthew 13:11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 “For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 “Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.’
16 “But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 “for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

and again...

Matthew 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

So the emphasis is on God the Father. Who calls? God. Who gives hearing? God. It is His divine prerogative and initiative at work.

Those whom God calls not only listen but respond as Simon Peter did.
