Act I: Assault on Poinesta

The World:
Poinesta has a 24-hour day and orbits an Earth-like sun slightly closer than Earth orbits Sol. Nearly half the planet is rainforest. The workings of free magic have prevented the inhabitants of Poinesta from developing much technology, since while science usually works it is not completely reliable. The inhabitants are nearly human, but the human base has long been distorted under the influence of free magic. Everyone has their little quirks.

The Empire:
The golden age of Hollowstar has ended, but the world lives on, and has become a mighty empire that enslaves worlds with its superior magical science. Algen Galvin is dead, and the vile emperor is Janem, the son of Melchas.
This story differs from Basilicus at the destruction of Hollowstar Proper. Hollowstar is not destroyed, and instead follows this storyline.

((Eh, I clicked on "Act I" but it brings me to the CF homepage, so I'll post the thing here, and if it isn't the right place, I'll edit.))

Joshua flipped a switch on his dashboard, and a large screen came from the wall. "Computer, show enlarged shot of surface." The screen displayed live feed of the surface of Poinesta instantly. "Computer, show enlarged shot of Hollowstar proper." Live feed of Hollowstar filled the screen. "Zoom to 14 Millipars." The computer zoomed in, showing a large base of the surface. "Ah, that's it. Do you see that?

A figure walked out of the shadows of the deck, carrying a white staff. "Tut-tut, of course I see that, I've seen it one thousand times, Joshua." Joshua's chair swiveled to face the Time Lord. "Yes, Enuch, I realize that. This means you realize what must happen, what is going to happen?" The Time Lord nodded. "And as always, you can't tell me, can you?" The Time Lord shook his head slowly with a smirk. "No, tut-tut, that would violate my contract with, well, you know."

"Yes, I know, and I despise him. His putrid creation is wreaking havoc, and mine must suffer because the almighty master of space does not feel inclined to put a stop to it." The Time Lord swatted Joshua's head with his staff. "Hush, one must never speak of Negatron that way, tut-tut." Joshua scowled. "Can't you just freeze him in time like you did that other fool?" The Time Lord swatted Joshua again. "Chronos? Chronos was insane, my friend, and I wasn't the only one who contributed to his death. Negatron, however, is the master of space, and unless you wish destruction on every dimension that exists, you will pray that Negatron and I stay in good terms."

Joshua spat to the side. "So you're saying you can't tell him what to do?" The Time Lord swatted Joshua once again. "Tut-tut, I never said that. What I'm saying is that if Negatron and I ever waged war with each other, there would be no survivor to archive it."

Joshua turned back to the live feed, and sighed. "I guess we'll just have to wait and ride it out, then."

((You're describing events from long after the Golden Age. That's not a bad idea - I could put this in the fourth age, instead of switching away from the other ages and just continuing the first age to an evil empire. It still won't fit Basilicus, but it will fit the CF version of Hollowstar.
Oh, and I fixed the Act I link, but it just points to the next post. Act I is here. The links to the other acts will be more significant, since I plan to put them all in that post.))

A Hollowstar colony ship approached the night side of Poinesta. "Aron, let me remind you one last time that you are the rearguard. We cannot risk losing you in a frontal assault. I know you think you are invincible, but there are things that can kill you, and we must ensure that none of these are present."
The ship came down hard in a wide field, crossing the entire atmosphere in less than a second. Reusable artifacts flared, protecting the ship from harm and stopping it before it could damage the planet. Doors popped open on both sides of the ship, and forty simply-armed warriors flew in different directions over the planet. They each carried a laser cannon, a hand-held teleporter and a communicator that would automatically inform the ship if anything attacked them.

Aden approached Poinesta from the daytime side. It took him five minutes to find the edge of the rainforest, but when he found it he landed there, preferring to travel by simpler means. "Atmosphere Thickening." Aden began to build up his power to fly. He knew this planet was in immediate danger, but he wanted to approach the enemy from near the ground, where he could fight effectively.

((Okay! Let's get this thing-a rollin'!))

A small ship silently landed on the dark side of Poinesta, the hatch opening to allow a figure in a tech-suit to emerge, along with two other figures. A voice echoed, "Ouch!" The suited figure turned and pulled a finger up to their mouth, signalling for quiet. Ethian pulled himself up off the ground, hopping on one foot. "Stupid rock..." He hissed. A small flame lit above Ethian's foot, and the smaller figure beside him grabbed his leg. "Hold still-- are you okay? That wasn't a rock, it looked like a Yorl."

The suited figure's voice came, "Idiot! Put out the fire before they spot us!" The flame instantly went out, and Mel muttered mockingly, "'Idiot, put out the fire before they spot us!' Call me an idiot.." The suited figure began silently stalking forward, while Ethian and Mel stayed put. "How can she see?" Ethian whispered to his ally. "I don't know, whatever that thing she's wearing probably has something to do with it." Ethian nodded, and sat down. "Man, I wish Shimeran and Sierra were here, they can see in the dark." Mel stamped his foot. "Ugh, the undead? I can't stand them, you know that."

Anna silently walked forward, her helmet displaying night vision mode. She listened for anything out of the ordinary, though it was becoming hard with the constant whispers of the other two. She turned and hissed, "Will you two BE QUIET!" Ethian and Mel instantly grew silent, and Anna began searching again. Off in the distance, her night vision allowed her to see the Hollowstar invaders. Perfect, Joshua shouldn't be far, then. All the easier to find my target and eliminate the biggest threat... unless Enuch becomes involved.

Joshua's ship still orbited the planet, his live feed showing Anna's movements. "Your old partner, the Ulisk." The Time Lord tapped the floor with his staff twice, and a portal opened behind him. "Tut-tut, I do hope you can go three minutes without me. I have to go get Vangel, he'll be mightily disappointed if he misses anything. I'll be back in a few hours... or days." Joshua turned to face the Time Lord quickly. "Hours?! Days?! You control time, you can't get back here sooner?! It might be too late by the time you're back, Enuch, you fool!" The Time Lord swatted Joshua's head again, and turned to face the portal. "You of all beings should know that I am never late, nor am I ever early. Tut-tut, good tidings until then, my friend. Have no fear, time is on our side. Yes, even Negatron knows this." The Time Lord stepped through the portal, and it closed. Joshua turned back to the monitor and scowled. "You of all beings should know I despise him."

(((Okay, substance post time.)))

Morpheel sat in the quiet space of the Meditation Chamber. It was so relaxing....Clearing all thoughts, and becoming closer to God.....All was at peace.....He sighed, opening his eyes. He reached for a small cup of freshly brewed tea. Tea brewing was one of his many talents, but he was also a monk, and guardian of the Shiro Sutra. Because of the Sutra, he was one of the six legendary priests of the world. He was Morpheel the Wise.

"Ahh.....A good meditation period heightens the senses, clears the mind, and brings you coser to God.....Freshly brewed tea gets the juices flowing, and warms the body....", Morpheel said.

"Master, Master!!!", a young girl said, bursting into the room. She was barefoot, and she wore the traditional white robes of a monk. Her black hair bounced as she ran....Her hair set her aside from the other monks, who had no hair. She was also the only female monk. Morpheel had found her as a baby, on the side of the road, crying.....Her dead mother beside her, having bleed to death.

"Ahh, my young apprentice. You seem to have skipped meditation period today......", Morpheel said ina calm, tender voice.

"I'm sorry, Master. I was doing chores. The other monks told me I needed to do them.....", the young girl said, staring at the ground. She was red in the face from panting heavily.

"While chores help create dicipline, meditation is sometimes more important, because God supplies his own discipline in our lives, Miranda....", Morpheel said.

"Yes, Master, I understand....", she said, bowing.

"What have I told you about bowing to me?", Morpheel asked.

"You said not to. You said that I should only bow to God.", Miranda responded, embarassed.

"Then don't. Even though you are my apprentice, you still have much to learn....But don't worry, I'll pray that God gives me the strength to teach you.....'Stubborn Girl'.", Morpheel laughed. He embraced Miranda in a hug, and she hugged back, smiling.

"Oh, no!! Master, we have to hurry! All these distractions made me forget what I needed to tell you!!", Miranda shouted.

"What is it?", Morpheel said, standing up.

"There were these strange warriors with cold, metallic armor.....The monks tried to attack, but they got shot down by their beam weapons.", Miranda said.

"They told me to come get you. They said the Shiro Sutra should be abe to kill them."

"Miranda, I've made a decision. Come with me.", Morpheel said. He grabbed Miranda's wrist, and dashed off down the hall to the small room. The room had always remained locked. Miranda knew, she had tried to open it once before. The other monks once told her the door required a password, and only Master Morpheel knew it.

They stood before the red door with golden lacing around it. "No Me Ke On Ka No Un De!!", Morpheel shouted. The doors swung open......

---------------------------------

"We can't fight them off for much longer!!", one of the monks said.

"These....Things. How can we beat them?", another monk shouted.

"I bet Miranda just left.....That useless girl probably abandoned us.", another monk said.

"Don't be so foolish. Pray to God that Morpheel and Miranda will be here soon....", another monk shouted, before being shot by a laser blast. He fell back, immediately dead.

"We must press on!!", another said. At the beginning of the battle, there were several monks, around fifty--now, only about twelve remained. The metallic soldiers they were fighting still had the same number. They had not managed to defeat one. And there were only ten.

One of the monks grabbed a nearby bo staff, and charged foolishy towards one of the metallic warriors. The laser pistol mounted on the soliders right hand gleamed green for a second, before brandishing a laser blade. The monk charged right into the blade. Eleven left.

-------------------------------------------

"Master......Why did you choose me?", Miranda's voice said.

"I did not choose you. I was praying to God about the decision before you burst in. That was good enough a sign for me.", Morpheel's voice responded.

"But....How can I do it....?", Miranda asked.

"When you are weak, God makes you strong. When your blind, He shines His light on you. Lean on Him, and he will carry you....", Morpheel's voice responded.

"Okay, I'm ready.", Miranda said.

"Good.", Morpheel replied. He started chanting in an ancient tounge.

----------------------------------------

"I've scouted the perimeter. The footsoldiers are the distraction for the other monks.....Good. Nows the time to head inside....", a man said. He was camoflauged in the thicket of the trees around the temple. He lowered his laser scanner bionaculars, and rubbed his chin. His chin was gruff with facial hair. "I need to shave...", he thought.

He removed a backpack from beneath his crotch, and stood from his squatting position. He placed the bionaculars in the bag. He removed a silent pistol from it's holster, before starting his climb down the tree.

He dashed quickly through the forest--He didn't want to be caught by the local wildlife. He quickly dashed out of the forest, coming to the rear steps behind the temple. He started the climb up the stairway, and entered the temple.

Inside, he was met with a church like chapel area, with several halls branching off into the living quarters for the monks. "He must be in here somewhere.....", the man thought to himself.

---------------------------------------

"The induction is complete. You are now a full-fledged priest....Be proud. You are now a proclaimed servant of God, and the first female priest.", Morpheel said. Miranda smiled. She looked in the mirror. The red chakra on her forehead was just like her masters. She now realized the likeness of her face to her Master's.

She was now wearing the traditional priests robes--They, too, were white, but underneath was a black undershirt, and black pants, in case she needed to remove her robes for battle.

"And now, for the final touch.....", Morpheel said.

He opened a small, black box on the table before them, and pulled out a scroll that was black from the box. "This is the Kuro Scripture. When my Master died, I was asked to hold onto it until we inducted the new priest....Or priestess, should I say. As the new Priest of the Holy Temple, I induct you as the 36th Holy Priest, and the 1st Holy Priestess!!", Morpheel said. He then unrolled the Kuro Scripture, and placed it on Miranda's shoulders.

"Now, we must go out into battle....", Morpheel said. The now Priestess Miranda and Priest Morpheel walked out of the temple doors into the hallway.

"Priest Morpheel....Bounty, 10,000 Units.....", a young man said, smoking a cigarette. "Someone wants your head pretty badly, O Holy Priest.", the man said.

His name was Gabe. And he was a bounty hunter.

(((If this isn't right, I'll edit, M'kay? Woo, I managed to introduce all three of my Act I characters, induct Miranda into Priesthood, and create the meeting for all my characters! Someone elses turn.))))

A few hours earlier, high within the planets atmosphere a sleek craft hung overhead. It was ferocious, designed for cutting through the vast distances of interstellar space at lightning speed. It was a Hollowstar battle cruiser. Small, light, but still with enough fire power to fight off any hostile pirates that would come that way. It was not designed for the carrying of troops or weaponry but to ferry back small numbers and insure the security of the nearby space.

What the ship did not realize was that it had an unlisted passenger, yet as the ship descended from the atmosphere it was apparent, a man, shining like steel in the sun, his arm attached to the ship, unprotected. As the ship descended he slowly changed, like the reverse of wind blowing bits of sand. It was as though wind was blowing him back together.

Before the ship landed he launched off at a remarkable speed and continued off for a good distance.

Above the tree's he went, not so high as to be noticeable by air born scout, but not so low as to make the going difficult. Occassionally he would check his wrist.

"Data, location scan needed. Planetary magic level."

"Seven" Came the metallic reply

"Approximate hotspot count?"

"Ten thousand"

"Any Local?"

"Affirmitive"

"I think I might like this place. Scout mode for the nearest."

The reply came in a series of numbers, the man set his course for that sector and increased the magnitude of his magnetic field. Soon he had arrived.

"Lower the power count and reverse the polarity." he said and instantly he began to lower himself down to the level of the ground.

He had landed near a church, and, after during a simple scan for biological life forms entered the area. There was nothing to worry him overly, a few of the local fauna, some plants and thankfully no guards. Still he adjusted his red greatcoat, the golden braiding handing over him. Suddenly some thing caught his Hollowstar enhanced eyes, they flashed hard gold and soon he noticed what it was. Two people dressed as priests being stopped by a man with a weapon.

"Data needed. Amount of energy stored?"

"Roughly three thousand four hundreds STU at six STE"

"Good. Begin combat phase. Alert level, maximum."

He entered the hall where the monks and the mercenary stood, his long hair resting on his shoulders and his red greatcoat draped over his shoulder, the odd thing, however was the fact that in the time it took to walk into the church, his left arm had taken the form of a large plasma gatling cannon. His eyes were shining golden, they had locked onto the mercenary perfectly. Now he spoke.

"Now I truly hope I haven't distrupted some sort of iniciation.

Vayne Bastaurius had arrived on Poinesta and he was already enjoying himself.

((I apologize I didn't have time to post for the others. I will when I have more time. Finishing Vayne's Profile took longer than I had anticipated.))

Ilian ran through the dense forest, shaded. It was morning and he had just finished some bacon. He hurried through the forest for no particular reason. He came to a spot where there were burn marks on the ground. He touched one. "Yowch!" Ilian yelled. They were still hot, which meant a ship had landed here not long ago. He thought a moment. Its probably a Hollowstar battleship.....then again it could have been anything........ I'll investigate, Ilian thought. He decided to go left, since that was a favored direction of travelers for some reason. He ran and noticed a small white figure. "Hey! Who are yo--" he slid to the ground, an arrow protuding from where his heart was. He ran to the right from that clearing and saw a whole troop of them. He pulled out his rock knife and cut one's arm off, then randomly swung it willy-nilly. In seconds they were all dead. He sheathed his knife into its leather pouch and hurried along to the left from that clearing. What were all these troopers doing here at once? They usually split up. This puzzled Ilian. The short man ran forward and shot a trooper off of a cliff with his bow and an arrow. He felt suddenly weak, as if all his energy had been drained from him, and as he left conciousness, he thought about the figure in front of him: Kliofer Therang.

The mystic Vinell looked up from his empty table as a heavily clothed figure stumped into his home. "Querrot, this world will fight against its own flaws no longer."

Querrot didn't respond to the statement directly. "The wisp gave me your message. I remember your promise."

Vinell nodded. "A messenger from heaven stands at our gate."
"Who dares bring shadow upon Poinesta?"

"Three hundred days' journey. You must tell him this. The guardian is in the wrong place."

"When does the day close?"

"Hollowstar dawns or sets by twilight on the field of Emren. Now go, the guardian is swift. You have no more time than you need."

Querrot nodded and rushed out of the hut. It was half a mile when he got there, and he was huffing and puffing, but with a final burst he rushed up beside a red-robed mage with a thick oaken staff.

Aden looked at him, a bemused expression on his face. "Do I have the pleasure of addressing a golem familiar?"

Querrot shook his head, too out-of-breath to speak. Aden looked away. "Atmosphere Thickening."

Querrot put a hand on his arm. Aden waited for Querrot to get his breath back, then Querrot said, "The enemy is on the other side of the world, at the center of a large field. You'll recognize it, there aren't many fields around."

Aden's eyes widened. "Thank you for your message. I will go there immediately. Angel's -"

Querrot tightened his grip on Aden's arm, stopping him. "Take me with you."

"What?"

"I am a warrior. I brought you the message in hopes that you would bring me to the battle, which I could not hope to reach on my own."

Aden thought for a moment, then said, "So be it." He wrapped his arm around Querrot. "Atmosphere Thickening. Atmosphere Thickening. Atmosphere Thickening." The chant continued for a full minute, strengthening the power of the wind. Abruptly Aden shot a bolt of wind out of his staff, launching the two of them into the air. The jolt hurt Aden more than Querrot, even though Aden was prepared and Querrot was not.

Aden continued his chant as they flew at incredible speeds, constantly accelerating. They would arrive in two hours.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sir, threat detected."

"What, one of our scouts has been attacked already?"

"No, sir. This is sensor data."

"I don't think I told you to use sensor data."

"No, sir, you didn't say anything about it. A nearby small ship landing contains Ethian Eltii, the warrior who killed Iban at the Worlds' Gate. He's known to be extremely powerful."

"Listen, I don't care what the Gold King thought of him. If he bothers us, he dies; if he doesn't, we take over his life peacefully. Don't bother me with borrowed trouble."

Ethian broke open a sandwich and handed half to Mel. "Uck, Feezle?" Mel eyed it with disgust. "All I could catch before we had to leave, bud. Sorry." Ethian bit into the sandwich, a few seconds later spitting it out. "Ugh, you're right, we need to find something else. Hey, what's that thing?" Ethian pointed to a small orb on the ground next to Mel. "I dunno', she must've dropped it while she was getting out of the ship. We shouldn't touch it." Mel and Ethian looked at each other, mischevious smirks coming on their faces. Mel picked the orb up and threw it up in the air. "What is this thing for?" Suddenly, the orb lit up, emitting green light and large blue flashes. "Oops." Mel laughed nervously.

******************************************
Joshua stood from his seat as Mel activated the orb. "Fool! You're going to get yourself killed!" From behind him, a voice said, "And you care why?" Joshua spun around to see Vangel Ion, his longtime friend. "Vangel, Vangel! Good to see you alive." Vangel walked over to the monitor and watched the instant replay of the battle between the monks and the Hollowstar invaders. "After the incident, you mean? Yes, well, it is me, after all." He turned to face Joshua and sighed. "These Hollowstar natives, they are more trouble than they're worth. But Enuch has something planned that he won't even tell me, and that, my friend, means it is of enormous importance." Joshua sat. "And our next move would be?" Vangel turned back to the monitor. "My next move is to return to Reex as soon as possible to alert the Council of these happenings." He turned back to Joshua. "You, my friend, must remain here, and in due time, Enuch will come."

Kliofer had the modern Tarzan down and hanging over his shoulder. "Troopers, round up! Report back to the ship!" Klio yelled loud as a horn. "Yes, sir!" came eight voices. When he had made the exhausting run he settled down and layed Ilian down. "Troopers, where are the other twelve!?" Came Kliofer's voice like thunder. "Sir, we lost them to that ape, Sir!" a trooper replied. "Was I asking you?" Klio said in a small but threatening voice. "Yes.......Sir?" Klio struck the trooper down in the arm with his sword and, once he was down, stuck him through the heart. "Now, Jak, Baiden, and Garrett, go down to that lake," he pointed towards a lake on the east, " and drown this fellow. Pronto!"

A Hollowstar scout scanned the horizon,

Any sign of enemies? No. Moving on.

Such were his thoughts. Simple and to the point, this had been an extremely boring watch, though he hardly noticed. On various parts of the planet there were various enemies, fools who attempted to stop the dreadnaught that was Hollowstar, yet here it was surprisingly peaceful. The jungle cover made it difficult for the scout to make his way along.
Hoping for a better view of the landscape, for a final scan of the area before reporting back to base, he aimed his direction toward a rising plateau.

There he repeated his extremely familiar train of though,

Any sign of enemies? No. Moving on.

Then it struck him, in the sky there was a small black speck, extremely far away. He focused in on it with his visor. It was coming in fast. Too fast.

Oh no.

Impact was made. The Hollowstar scout barely realized what had hit him before realizing he was cleanly severed in half. His last thoughts were of little interest.

Enemy has made contact, should report to Hollowstar at first possible….

There were two people standing by the corpse of the scout, one was a young man, dressed in protective, yet comfortable, clothing, such as worn in some of the more relaxed academies. The second was remarkably different.
He was extremely tall, his eyes a burning blue and his hair, long and curled, as if it were made of long thin candles, was light brown, though it was streaked with white. The oddest thing of his was his back, there were two enormous wings.

The tall man wiped the great talons that were his hands on the body of the fallen scout, then turned to his companion.

“Well Escalus, apparently we have arrived.”

“Indeed we have Lord Bloodgyphon. Indeed we have, the question is now what do we do now that we have arrived? I don’t exactly see a great base without defenses.”

“Nor do I my young friend, in any case we are not of the power to destroy a base of Hollowstar alone, ah but what I would give to have Kain and Morna now…”

Escalus was quiet, he had known Lord Dis Bloodgryphon but a little while but in that time he had learned a few things, his companion was an extremely intelligent man, yet he hailed from a world and time quite far from where they were and he had seen much more than any man had any need, spoke of many things Escalus had never heard of, most of all he referred to two named Kain and Morna.

The reverie was broken suddenly, when, in the distance, a flash of blue and green light lit the horizon.

Dis was already kneeling for Escalus to mount.

“I agree, it is as good a start as any”

As soon as Escalus had his arms safely around the great weregriffins neck his wing began to beat, soon they were in the air rapidly moving.
Dis could not go his full speed with a rider but they still were only going remarkably fast, it was mere moments before they reach the location of the light.

Dis smiled, his razor sharp teeth shining in the air. At heart he was a predator, and a great game had begun that day.

Anna looked on as a scout came closer to her. Don't you dare-- The scout turned suddenly, spotting her. %#*$! Anna fired her blaster, shooting the scout through the heart. Aim's as good as ever. The blaster folded back into her suit as she walked over to the carcass. Hollowstar, alright. The armor says it all. But why Poinesta? Anna's thoughts were interrupted by a flash of blue light from behind her. "Idiots!" She shouted, swinging around to see Ethian and Mel staring at the orb that was floating in the air, flashing like a beacon. "Absolute idiots! She muttered, sprinting back to the ship. Mel's hands lit up with fire, and Ethian held his sword at the ready. "Idiots! What did you do?!" Anna leapt upward, her suit's built-in propulsion system lifting her as her hand wrapped around the orb. Hitting a small switch on it, Anna landed on the ground without a sound. "Idiots, now they'll know--" Light behind her made Anna's instincts kick in.

Twirling around to see Poinesta natives, Anna's blaster came out and charged up. Mel's fire grew brighter, and Ethian's sword glowed white. The being in front shouted, "Glen felna!" Anna's built-in translator initiated, repeating, "Fire darts." Anna dove forwards, her suit initiating defense mode. Mel and Ethian looked at Anna in confusion. "What the--" Mel stopped short, a tingly sensation coming over his entire body. "What...?" Mel fell forward, unconscious. Ethian looked over, but not in time. He fell to the ground, sleep darts all over his front side. Anna looked up, her suit protected her from the darts. Her propulsion system launching her backwards, she landed in the doorway of the ship, the gate slamming shut as the ship took off into the atmosphere. "Moi packi!" The chief said as some of the natives hoisted the motionless bodies of Mel and Ethian over their shoulders.

"Scout 14 dead. Kill made at coordinates Efonus Desite. The killer is approaching Ethian Eltii at Olinan Desoro. Mode of death: Impact with a sharp object."

"Impact with a sharp object? Can't the computer just say someone stabbed him?"

"We don't know that, sir. It could have been a sword, or even a spaceship with a sharp point. We do know that it happened very fast and the scout was split completely in two."

"Substances?"

"The killer does not register on a magnetic scan. It seems to be mainly biological. The ship is not equipped to provide any more information."

"Aron, you take this. Go to the location of Ethian Eltii - Olinan Desoro - and kill the biological nonmetallic creature with a sharp body part. I have no way to judge the power of its attacks, but I don't think it has any means of harming you."

Aron flew off.

"Scout 26 dead. We have a visual, but a mechanical suit prevents us from identifying the creature within. Scout was destroyed by a laser blaster. Killer fled the planet, Ethian Eltii is traveling Tenos of his position (Ship as second point) with a large group."

"Watch that killer. If whoever it is comes back, I'll attack in person."

Aron was glad to finally be allowed to fight. He had been the last great project of the Gold King, but had never been finished. After the end of the Golden Age, the Black King had taken him up and finished him. Many considered him the most powerful of the androids.

As Aron flew, his body expanded, becoming translucent. Sand pushed its way through the grass and bounced along as though pushed by the wind as Aron drew power from the planet's electromagnetic and gravitational fields. As he neared the site that the Aragithian ship had landed at, he sent a cloud of dust ahead to herald his coming.

Gabe, Moprheel, and Miranda stared each other down in akward silence.....Neither knew what to say.

"So, it seems my past has finally caught up with me....", Morpheel thought to himself.

"I don't know why the person who h8ired me wants this priest so badly, but all I know is that I want that cash.....", Gabe said, adjusting the aim of his pistol.

"Why is this guy after my sensei? Being a priest, I don;t see any reason why my Master would have done anything to get bounty hunters after him....", Miranda thought to herself.

"I'm not sure exactly what it is you want, but you're stepping on holy ground, blessed by God himself....", Morpheel said.

"Oh please, don't go on with that prestly crap. I have no business dabbling in the likes of religion. I'm a bounty hunter, remember? I make my living off of bringing in convicted souls.", Gabe said.

"I see.....Then there is no point in negotiating with you.....It seems you have already made up your mind....", Morpheel said.

"Shiro Sutra: Hadoken Blast!!", Morpheel said. Conjuring a blast of chi, he threw it at Gabe, which knocked him back.

Gabe gasped as the wind was knocked out of him, and he was flown back against the wall.

"Quick!! We must go and save our brothers!!", Morpheel said, grabbing Miranda's hand. The pair dashed off down the hall, as Gabe stood up weakly. Two of his ribs on his left side had been broken.

He walked weakly after Miranda and Morpheel.

The Hollowstar scouts had pushed the remaining monks into a corner. The remaining seven monks were desperately trying to use whatever wepaon they could, but all of their simple attacks failed. "GAH!!!!", a monk shouted as he was stabbed by the laser blade. As the blade was pulled out, there was no blood--the heat from the blade sealed the wound. The monk died instantly.

"Shiro Sutra: Hadoken Blast!!" , Morpheel's voice sounded. The blast of chi swept the Hollostar soldiers off their feet, and into each other. The soldier that had activated it's laser blade sliced into two others, slicing them in half. There were only eight soldiers left.

"Master Morpheel!! Miranda!!", a monk shouted. The monks looked at Miranda. They noticed she was wearing priest's clothes, and had the Kuro Sutra around her shoulders.

"It can't be....Miranda's the priest?!", the monk's shouted.

"Nevermind!! We have to fight off these threats!!", Morpheel shouted. The monks looked at each other, before being blasted in the chest by a green laser beam. The remaining soldiers had blasted the monks with their laser pistols. "No!!!", Miranda shouted.

Morpheel gritted his teeth in anger. "You souless fiends are going to pay!!!", Morpheel shouted.

"Miranda!! We must attack and defeat them together! Remember that technique I told you about written in the Sutra?", Morpheel asked. Miranda nodded, unsure.

"We must use it now!!", Morpheel shouted. Both the Shiro and Kuro Sutras glowed white and black respectively, before flying in the air, and wrapping around each other.

"Shiro and Kuro Sutras: Yin-Yang Hadoken Blast!!"

Pain. Death. Monks. Priestess. Chi. Bounty. "NO!" Mel awoke, screaming. Those monks-- no! His vision was interrupted by a palm striking his face. "Silly boy!" Mel turned his head, shocked to see a Forseer girl next to him. "Wha--?!" The girl stuffed a spoonful of stew in his mouth and smiled. "Relax. The darts will make it so that your body won't work properly for a few hours, but other than that, you'll be fine. Just eat."

*****************************************************

Ethian rubbed his eyes. "I don't understand, how could your body recover from those darts so quickly?" Anna's helmet folded down into her suit, her blue eyes glittering in the dark. "Mm, me either..." Ethian was tired, but he would manage. "Ugh, that native brute threw me over his shoulder, and that was it... I wasn't going anywhere." Anna put her hands on her hips, letting out a sigh. "And the Forseer boy?" Ethian shook his head. "I couldn't get him... I was about to fall over, I just wanted to get away..." Anna patted his shoulder. "That's understandable. Don't be so hard on yourself, we'll get him back."

Ethian rubbed his eyes again, trying to stay awake. "Why'd we come here again?" Anna leaned forward, her face coming inches from his. "I thought I made this clear before we left." Ethian felt her breath on his nose. "These Hollowstar punks that invaded your world are up to something, and we want to find out..." Anna stood back up. "What." Ethian rubbed his temples, and looked up at her. "Mm, yeah, right, I remember... I want to help." He said, smiling. Anna put her hand on his shoulder; Ethian felt like he would melt. "Good. But you need sleep. Go on, get in the ship. I'll wake you up at daybreak." Ethian nodded slowly, and stumbled into the ship.

Anna smiled wickedly. I have this kid wrapped around my finger-- bless my devilish good looks. Her helmet came back over her head, and Anna activated night-vision. Back to work.

"Sir, scouts 2 through 11 are dead. They were delayed at a nearby temple and destroyed by a spell. We have detail on their power."

"Ten scouts dead? Why did the all go in the same direction?"

"Enslaved prisoners have disobeyed orders before sir. Killer two has touched down and grouped with Ethian Eltii at Olinan Desori."

With a sight, Lord Viper stood. "I will attack killer two immediately. Onan, guard the ship. Garret, keep a record of all reports and have them ready for me when I return." He hesistated - he didn't like what he had to say next - but his orders were clear. He must allow for every possibility. "If I die, send Onan and Aron as a team to every threat and secure the planet. In that event, guard the ship yourself using the artifacts in the back room." He paused, then continued, "You may use them to defend the ship if Onan proves insufficient."

Lord Viper pressed a button, then headed outside. A large bay on the ship opened, letting his dragon out. Lord Viper called it to him, then climbed onto its back and commanded it to lift off. The dragon's powerful wings thrust it and its rider forward, and Lord Viper turned the Viper Dragon Desor - the direction of Anna. He had armed two layers of shielding on the way.

Aden wheeled slightly, looking at a large translucent blob speculatively. Querrot spoke up. "If that's unimportant, I'm the son of a poison ivy bush! A force of free magic that size is worse than an enemy invasion."

Aden slowed to a stop and drifted down toward Aron. "A wraith," he muttered, seeing the vague human features.

"Let's land. I can't fight very well in the air."

"Me neither." Aden brought them down, let go of Querrot and charged toward Aron, taking care to keep away and not bother it until he was sure of just what it was.

Ilian regained conciousness and saw three troopers carrying him in a Y-form, two in the front and one in the back. There was a lake right in front of their path; they were going to drown him! Ilian kicked hard, letting the troopers know he was awake, and grabbed his knife. He stabbed the one to his right's arm, making him fallheadfirst into the river. "Baiden!" the trooper in thew rear yelled. He quickly let go of Ilian and dove into the water, only to drown like his friend. Only Jak was left, and Ilian was hlf-thrown, have dragged into the water. Luckily, since Ilian had lived here for a while, he knew how to swim. He surfaced and swam to the eastern shore, where there was a bit of mud to help him map out the land.
"Let's see........." Ilian drew an X where he was with a nearby stick, then drew a circle beside the X for the lake. When he had finished he looked at it and decided to go through the woods to the north. He heard a sound from the north and it was farther from the troopers. He quickly hurried north and saw what made the noise: a yellow Hollowstar starfighter. He had discovered his way off the planet.

Kliofer had been waiting for around fifteen minutes when he got impatient and ran through the olive-green foliage. He saw three bodies floating on the lake and one bleeding badly. Ilian had escaped from the shock troopers! He ran north of the lake where he had moved his strafighter.
He pulled out a high-tech walkie-talkie and talked into it, "Remaining troopers, come to the shipsite!"
He saw five troopers hurry to his spot. He went through more foliage only to find his ship gone. That accursed Ilian!

**************************************

Ilian had took off and landed about five miles away from the previous spot. He would hide his starfighter until the time was ripe to use it again. He noticed voices ahead.
"Are you friendly peoples? Can you hear me?" Ilian screamed. All he could do was wait for the answer.
