 Those that are reading this, I hope I dont confuse you by what I am asking.
Ok - someone dies their spirit leaves them.. where does it go? Does it go to be judged? What about during the rapture when it says the dead proceed the living? Is that their physical body?
When we live on earth with Jesus for his 1000 year righteous rule that will only be believers? Will that be spiritual or physical bodies? What about all the children that their parents never believed? They will of course be raptured with us its not their fault noone taught them.
I always thought we died we went to be judged sent where we went and then when he came back he came back to get believers that were alive, destoryed the world and built a new one. We stayed in heaven and the world started over just as it did before. the rest i am learning now.
thank you and god bless.

I also am a little unsure of what happens when we die etc.

Although recently I have been pondering that God is outside time so when we die we can go to him straight away, though to those still on earth (and hence still within time) it will seem as though it in the future?

Just a thought. I too will do a little more study into this....

I am afraid that no one really knows the answers to these questions. We can ponder and wonder but we will never really know until we get there. However, I do share some of the same thoughts as mlmum on this topic. My opinion--God the Father is God beyond time/space; Christ is God within time/space; The Holy Spirit is God inside of us. They are united as One and so we expierience them each distinctly but at the same time. Like, when we are talking to Jesus we are also talking to the Father and the Holy Spirit. It is like a huge marriage of spirits. God is in us and we are in God..united. This oneness of spirits is how I make sense of our immortality. If we are one with God then we can not die because God can not die.

Actually, all of these questions are answered in the Bible.

...someone dies their spirit leaves them.. where does it go?
This I'm not sure of but I will try to find something. There is something similar to what we think of as purgatory. The word "Sheol" means grave or graveyard but refers to a waiting place after we die. Not 100% sure on that though so you can take that however you please.

Does it go to be judged?

No.

Revelation 20:12 - And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. (NASB)

This doesn't happen until after Satan is bound.

What about during the rapture when it says the dead proceed the living?

The dead will be ressurected and judged before the living. When Jesus returns he will make a new heaven and a new earth and there will no longer be any death or mourning(Rev 21:4).

Is that their physical body?

When the martyrs of the tribulation period are ressurected they will have flesh again. God's purposes never change. His original purpose was for us to have dominion over the earth and everything in it. He gave us flesh because we need flesh in order to be in the physical realm. That is one of the reasons why God had to come to us in the flesh.

When we live on earth with Jesus for his 1000 year righteous rule that will only be believers?

That will only be the beheaded ones during the tribulation.

Revelation 20:4 - Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Will that be spiritual or physical bodies?

Once again, I believe that it will be physical.

What about all the children that their parents never believed? They will of course be raptured with us its not their fault no one taught them.

You hit it right on the head. God knows this and they will not have to deal with the second death(as far as I know). My understanding of it though is that when God speaks to them they will still have to choose to follow Him because of freewill. The only thing is, when He speaks to them they will understand because God speaks to our spirit, not our flesh. They may have had a child's body and understanding but the spirit is linked to God.

I always thought we died we went to be judged sent where we went and then when he came back he came back to get believers that were alive, destoryed the world and built a new one. We stayed in heaven and the world started over just as it did before.

Again, judgement for us all comes at the end. The first one to go to the Lake of Fire will be the Beast and the False Prophet. Then it will be the dead whose names aren't in the Book of Life. Next will be Death and Hades, and Lastly will be Satan after the thousand year reign of Christ. I don't believe that we will stay in heaven because, like I said before, God's purposes never change. He purposed us to have dominion over the earth so that He could spread our reign into the physical realm. I say our reign because God doesn't want to reign alone. God is love more than He is anything else. True love isn't selfish. God wants all of us to reign with Him. That is why He is called Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He even refers to us as gods (Psalms 82:6).

I hope this helps you on your journey to finding the right answers.

God Bless!

Firstly, once you die, you are no longer in time. Hard to understand, but everything on earth is controlled by time; not so in eternity. Our bodies will be changed in an instant. (1 Cor. 15: 51, 52)

Yes, it will only be believers. Satan will be released after the millenium to test those born during that time. It is still the duty of the parents to tell the children of the Lord.
Hope that helps some.
