If you want to go then go. She's two months old a car trip is not a problem, she'll sleep most of it anyway. And baby's, at that age especially, can sleep through anything. You really don't want to train her to only be able to sleep with only quite, dark and in her cot. You want to train her to be flexible so this is a good opportunity. I travelled for a three day train trip across the desert with my daughter when she was three months - not a problem. I did other things from the get go like putting her down to sleep in her porta cot or pram during the day in the lounge room (non-dimmed) so that she got used to sleeping in those as well as her cot. That way if I needed to go shopping I could without working around her routine, she's work around me and if I needed to go out for my date night with my husband she could sleep in a porta cot. I also did things vacuuming etc. without worrying about the noise and now I have one of the best sleepers in the world. I put her down in her bed, walk away and don't see her until morning. She's now almost 4 and still working.
As for you I would suggest either investing in ear plugs, propping him up on pillows cause sometimes that helps, or one of those things that go on their nose. Holiday or not, it would be nice to be able to sleep next to your husband.
