Are you as curious as I am to know why homosexuality has become the pet sin of so many right wing Christians? Could it be because homosexuality is the one sexual sin these Christians more than likely would never commit themselves? Where's the level of moral indignation and outcry against adultery or addiction to pornography or sex before marriage? Where's the level of moral indignation and outcry against any other sin like lying, stealing and taking God's name in vain? What about those sins?

Where's the moral indignation and outcry from these same Christians against a current United States president who bragged about committing adultery and groping multiple women in their private parts? Oh wait... these Christians support and defend that president because he politically panders to them.

I honestly can't take their alleged moral indignation against LGBT (homosexuals and transgenders) or their moral convictions against sin seriously when they support and defend a man like Donald Trump.

Like I said, I'm glad to know that the judge threw the case out too. The fight for LGBT civil rights and equality in the United States has been a long and hard struggle and I would really hate to see it go backward. It's truly ironic (and pathetic) to have such a hard struggle for LGBT rights in a country like Ameica, whose very pillar of existence and claim to fame is that it was founded upon freedom, liberty and justice for all. America is a free country unless you just happen to be gay or a transgender.

Imagine coming across this thread as a young, confused Christian person for whom transgender may be an issue.

You read;

"sinful filth"
"This filth is sin"
"Abominable filth"
"sinful lifestyle"​

and no Christian steps in to disagree or attempts to understand.​

Not all Christians are like this but, unfortunately, there are enough of them to push trans kids into depression and (sometimes) to take their own life.

I'm not a Christian but even I can see where the sin really lies.

There is an easy way out. Don't buy the books for your kids and don't send them to the reading sessions.

Not just tolerant, but also kind and compassionate toward people who are different than they are or believe differently than they do. Children aren't born prejudice against other people. They are taught to be prejudice by their parents. Children don't know any better when they are young and still under the influence of their parents. But hopefully when the children grow into adults, they will be able to see how wrong those prejudices are and they will choose to reject those prejudices in their own life.

The bible doesn't teach us that God is tolerant of people who willingly continue sinning. What people teach as "tolerance" these days is laughable. It ends up as, "You have to accept what I do, but I can tell you what you can and cannot do or say, and I'll call you a bigot, homophobe, racist, etc. if you do anything that "offends" me."

I remember when the gay agenda pushed was, "Do you really care what two adults do in their bedroom's, in private?"

I'm a Christian myself, but I don't believe the Bible to be inerrant and infallible. I wouldn't use some of its OT commandments to teach morality to my own children either. I don't expect some Christians to actually live up to what they preach on this site in their IRL either, but they talk a good game.

Has it ever occurred to you that homosexuality is a crime without a victim? You may not like homosexuality, but it is only wrong to some Christians because they define it as wrong.

It is not intrinsically harmful.

In fact any harm associated with homosexuality is actually done to homosexuals by those who vilify and reject them.
