To my understanding non-binary is transgender. If someone who at birth was assigned woman or man based on their sex are now saying they are not woman or man but non-binary, they would be transgender. What gender do you see a non-binary person as? I really don't understand your position. How I understand transgender they would be either, woman, non-binary or agender (assuming they would be have assigned as man).

One, you are not assigned a sex at birth. Doctors merely note the sex you are. They don't agonized over what sex the child should be. They don't roll a dice or flip a coin. They don't see a child and agonize over the decision is that a boy or a girl? They recognize what sex of the child is and say so.

Non-binary is a decision a person makes not to identify with either sex. They are neither male nor female and do not identify with gender roles or typical gender "rules", so to speak. It is a decision of a person of a specific biological sex not to identify exclusively as a man or a woman.

Transgender is a person of a specific biological sex who believes they are rhe opposite sex inside. They were born in the wrong body. They should have been the opposite sex biologically. Which of course is impossible. You are either male or female. And if you believe you are the opposite sex you have a mental illness.

Actual gender does not exist. Gender is simply a word that was developed to use instead of the word sex. You can insert sex into every sentence with the word gender. Gender roles are references to roles based upon biological.sex. gender expectations are based upon expectations of biological sex. Its an impossibility to actually be the opposite sex or opposite gender.

That doesn't mean people can't have an illness that causes them to believe they are. We have all kinds of illnesses that cause people to believe things that are not based in reality. Schezophrenia, Delusional disorders, bi-polar disorders etc. Transgender people suffer from the same types of things. A disorder that causes them to believe something that is not real.

2) Take some steps back and you'd realize that the treatment for gender dysphoria is pretty dang far from "Absurd".

There is a fundamental misunderstanding that with mental health disorders, you can just STOP them. That you can take a medication and poof. It's gone.

Doesn't happen. At best they just tend to minimize symptoms and the impact that the disorder has on your life.

So what TREATMENT do you expect people with gender dysphoria to receive that you think is the RIGHT treatment? I mean, let's pretend doctors didn't know what to do and they came to you for answers....

No it doesn't. No one is being wiped out and no one is stopping them from being trans. In fact no one is stopping adults from gender-affirming medicalization. The science on this is clear. Gender affirming medicalization has not been proven to be effective. But adults still have access.

The only stoppage has been for children. And there are legitimate
, medical and scientific reasons to do so. Thus has been pointed out ad nauseum. Once a child has reached adulthood and still wants to transition medically they can.
