CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Torben now imprisoned for almost a Year in the US without charges.

If the video says his Visa Waiver was canceled, whoever said that is lying. A visa waiver is only good for 90 days period. Torben's Notice to Appear Form clearly gives the date he arrived in the US (January 26, 2019) and the date his visa waiver expired (April 25, 2019). In addition, Torben didn't deny being an overstay during his asylum hearing.

He could have put in his visa waiver Before the expiration date happened.
Congressman Clay Higgins said that he applied for Asylum Properly.

His visa waiver time expired. The expiration date was fixed at the beginning. I have been involved with persons with a couple of Visa issues. In my experience, they know their critical dates. They watch the approach of those dates with anxiety and dread over when and what Immigration will respond. They lay awake at night sweating and staring at the ceiling over this. They know that what happens by that critical date seriously affects their future. They live in fear of deportation. They cross all the "t's" dot all the "i's" and then wait with their eyes ever on the calendar. This only leads me to conclude that Torben had really bad legal counsel, is not very bright, or is a scofflaw.

In the first ten seconds of one of the videos it says that Torben "did not violate any laws or procedures". This is false. He violated immigration law by overstaying his visa and was deported as a result. It goes on to say that his "asylum case is still ongoing". This is also false. Torben has exausted all of his appeals and the DOJ's Executive Office for Immigration Review website says his appeal for asylum was denied and there are no further hearings in his case.

There are no future hearings for Torben's case. This is a fact. Torben is either living in denial and actually believes what he's saying, or he's lying. Regardless of which, it's sad that he's publishing videos like this and giving his followers and supporters in the US false hope of him returning.
