i don't watch south park, and one sure way to get me to not watch anything is to put tom cruise in it, so the controversy doesn't really affect me much.

i did hear on the glenn beck radio show today that isaac hayes has had a stroke recently that has affected his speech.

first of all, i love south park...the one thing that offends me about the show is the use of the word "gd"...other than that i think it's hilarious. i like it even better now that i know Tom Cruise is opposing to it, i have a strong disliking for Tom Cruise and i don't respect him in any way whatsoever, i think he's an idiot. it's not like theyre pin pointing scientology, South Park spares no one and no religion or belief...infact if anything, they make fun of jews more than anything...

I was one of those that did not care for it. I thought the old black & white was much better.

As far as belief/faith, I've thought of this before....

Does it seem that there are those in other belief systems that somehow seem less embarrassed by their faith than us Christians?

I remember Mother Angelica speaking of this once & she seemed to think these other faiths put most of us to shame as far as expressing themselves in the context of their beliefs.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread... but speaking of the man in the title of it... Tom Cruise.... I just wanted to point out that i think he is a very interesting man. I have no idea how he dedicated to convert to scientology, but i think its cool that at 14 he actually entered a seminary to become a Catholic priest.

Yeah it was a priest... But he was only 14 years old.. Wow. But i don't understand why it seems like so many Catholics are converting to Catholicism. Well, famous Catholics anyway...

On the plus side of the ledger, I've heard rumors on and off that Nicole Kidman is in the middle of reverting, and that her divorce from Tom Cruise largely centered around her wanting to bring their children up as Catholics (or at least not as Scientologists.) I'm not a celebrity gossip person, though, so I have no idea how true this is.
