To non-believers: What would you do if it were proven that God does exist?

I would probably do the same thing you would do if God were proven to exist but that you were worshipping the wrong one; and this real God has been getting madder and madder each time he sees you ignoring him and praying to your fake one.

I would start by doing everything in my power to find out as much about this God as I can; not form the believers but from the God himself because what believers believe differs from person to person.
I would then attempt to build my life around the fact that this God does exist.

Ken

The problem with this is, the work leads to proof, not the other way around.

That's for you! For me it was the other way around; I used to believe in God but when I sincelely sought him, read the bible, prayed and did everything in my ability to get saved, that's when I found out God didn't exist.
Had I never attempted to find God, I would still belive God exist

As a dad, would it bring him great joy to watch a son he loved die because he failed to warn the son of an earthquake which would cause the son to get crushed to death?
ha ha ha I guess that would seem strange to you, but you must understand this life here on earth is but a vapor in the vast expanse of eternity, as a dad if my son dies, I know in just a short time we will be reunited, and what a great reunion thats going to be, I know were all going to die anyway sooner or later, whether we die by disease, or an earthquake, or a drunk driver......Its just a fact of the fallen state of affairs....we die!.......and then we will be judged on how well we used the time we were aloted, which is why I believe all children go to heaven, because they never reached an age of accountability. So in some respects when a child dies it may be the best thing that could of happened, rather than grow up and never acknowledge God and make contact.

The bible was written by humans not by God. The Bible tells you what the humans who wrote it said, not what God said.

Furthermore, if God can do anything, why would he need to have humans write a book for him?

The bible is a book written by humans but inspired by God and his holy spirit , and there are proofs confirming that.

There are verses in the old testament quoting what God said by prophets

God likes to see people doing efforts in accomplishing his will.God never did things himself on Earth, for example he could have lived anywhere on earth,or built a house for him thousands years ago,but instead he asked Solomon to build his house.

You don't need to look for God, hes everywhere and you're blind to his presence, not just you but almost everyone. When everyone around you believes that truth is in this blindness its a challenge to realize they're all wrong. If God is truth than everything else must be false. A belief of the truth has to be false, if you have the truth what is there to believe in?

God can only be found by surrendering your own perceptions and belief systems and everything that you think you are in exchange for his. Its not an easy thing to do, but at the same time its the easiest thing in the world. It's only difficult because you are addicted to creating work for yourself. If you let him, God will do all the work for you and give you somthing more valuable than you can currently fathom.

God does'nt just give little things here and there to humanity he gives everything all at once to the truely faithful who are willing to accept his gifts. If you have any doubts about God you simply are not and cannot be correct about him, his reality erases all doubt.

.

As I said before, being inspired by something does not mean your ideas will mirror the source of your inspiration.
Being inspired by God means nothing.

I respectfully disagree.

It appears when "Cieza" started this thread, he started it in response to a thread I started titled "What would you do if it were proven that God didn't exist" (started Aug 14th at 9:10 am). But my reason for starting that thread was in response of one started by "Wayte" titled "What would you do if God were proven to exist".

This thread is located in the "Ethics & morality" section and it was started August 8th at 2:20pm

So this subject has already been discussed for approx 8 pages or so; but that's okay; we can discuss it again

GOD is omnipotent and omniscient.Anything inspired by GOD has no flaw in it,just like his prophets, they make no mistakes for example.
