and Radio Carbon Dating? check again...that method of measurement isn't accurate past 10,000 years.  You REALLY need to familiarize yourself with scientific dating methods before you bash on them.  Hint: Research Uranimium decay rates as a start.  (This method gave us the current true age of the earth)

And I trust a physicist/nuclear engineer on the topic of radioactive decay rates more than I'd trust Hovind.  Hovind is merely brain-washing you with his hogwash.

Would you trust a shade-tree auto mechanic for a heart by-pass? I doubt it.  You REALLY need to search alternate sources and compare them with Hovind's before you attempt to debate scientific proofs.  TRUE scientists consult multiple sources/publications/textbooks/experts to prevent the 'open mouth - insert foot' result.

I am actually quite fond of the Institute for Creation Research, I have been to their museums, and I quite enjoyed them all. If Hovind can't convince you using his seminars, I suggest you visit these museums and witness the evidence first-hand.

Since the reason I think Hovind is unconvincing is that I have solid reason to believe that he's a con man preying on gullible people, and that his evidence is variously faked up, why should going to look at the same tired arguments help any?

ICR makes people swear an oath never to disagree with creation, no matter what evidence they find. How on *earth* could I mistake them for scientists?

It was a neat idea, but it doesn't work. You will find all your scientific answers for the radiocarbon question in Hovind's statement about it. Also be sure to read his Equilibrium Response. Actually, I think the term "legitimate creationist site" (at least from a scientific perspective) is an oxymoron. Both ICR and AIG have it in their mandate to outright reject any evidence that disproves their version of Biblical creationism. That's hardly being intellectually honest about things.
