  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So I tried it today, to cool down and not get stiff after my run, at my kids request I downloaded Pokémon Go and we drove into town and walked around giving it a try.

Definitely not for me , Paul .

I'm too much of a Traditional Catholic to be able to put up with these new-fangled , Liberal gadgets . :)

Well ugh..an email containing threats from a student showed up in my inbox at 4 am. I've had run in a with him before but they were more about him hurling insults rather than threats. This was silly, though, he emailed me at midnight and asked if I was going to report him for plagiarism because he used the textbook example as a template to do a homework problem (which isn't even plagiarism and wouldn't have caused a problem ). When he didn't get a reply right away (some of us like to sleep a little) he came back with a 4 am threatening email.

Just read back LOL
Assisted living is NOT for me, nless it happens in my OWN home. I worked for my home. In the places we have here, there is no space at all. Both me and hubby are in wheelchairs. I am 68 years of age and like punk rock and all of that. I play a musical instrument that would drive everyone else mad LOL as would my head banging activities! Mi need SPACE to be ME. Unfortunately assisted living here would not provide that at all.

Here, we are supposed to receive adaptations toremain in our own homes. Even blind people luve in their own homes here, with various aids.

So for me, assisted living would mean in my own home where I can still be a person.

None of you know me but if you did, youwould see that I am i telligent, acadenmic, luvely, conf udent, that I. Am good with people and giving to other people. I am not your typical dusabled person LOZl. I am an individual - a PERSON. I am thinking of going and living in either a cavenor a tent he he

I have a bunch of friends kids coming over to play...er build stuff with my LEGO. I've been getting them all out. I'm embarrassed. I have a lot of LEGO and I collected it all as an adult.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood. :D

I never got into LEGO. Music , crosswords and Sudoku are more my style.

Tad - I know of a Church where the Servers were taught Liturgy , what to do and when so-to-speak, with little Lego people :)

Lego can be very educational :D

I have my very own Lego church. I've taken it my parish during an art fair to show to the kids. I have a thread on here:

The kids last night, though impressed, didn't have much to say about it. I don't think mom and dad take them to church.

Well, I am having a very quiet evening at home. My husband and children are out of town and I am at home alone. So, I decided I would have a Hobbit / Lord of the Rings marathon while they are gone. I really like these movies. I am now almost to the end of the first Hobbit movie. I hardly ever get any time alone for myself. I am usually busy doing something with or for my husband and children. So, as a mother, I know I should be enjoying this time alone but I am rather bored and not quite sure what to do with my time while my family is gone. They have only been gone for a little over four hours and I have already been twiddling my thumbs.

I checked the lego churches out Tad. (st. benebrick)They are awesome, to say the least. What talent! And what a hobby!
Can't quite imagine how big they are. Could you fit your head inside one for instance? Or is that a silly question?
Amazing detail Tad. Seems like they have a lego piece for every detail you could dream up.
