Honestly I dont really keep a track of it. Some weeks between 30% plus, other weeks 10-20% although may be a few weeks where its less and other weeks where its more.

Like I said, its hard to tell because I dont keep a track of it

Give to whom? And give what exactly, does time count?

To whom? God. Define that how you will. Money usually. Time does count, but for the purpose of this discussion Money. And unless you're just not making a lot of money then you should be giving time AND money.

Money seems to be the sticking point so I would say money. As to where to give it, what does the Holy Spirit tell you? That is where to give it. It can be a church or a person or many things but the blessed giving is where you are pobedient to the Spirit.

I give how much, when, and where the Holy Spirit leads me.

Agree with both of these.

I tithe, sometimes to my church, sometimes to a ministry, sometimes to a person. I try to be led as the Lord shows me. In addition I give offerings and gifts.

Last year I had about 18% in deductible gifts, that doesn't count the gifts I gave anonymously.

I don't write out a check for 10% - but I give when and where the Holy Spirit leads. Sometimes it is a lot, sometimes it is not so much.

The Lord leads many people across my path for help, sometimes it is money, sometimes it is food, sometimes it is clothes and sometimes it is all of this. Sometimes he gives us a family to watchout for which sometimes lasts for years until that person is able to get back on their feet.

We give with a grateful heart.

This raises some interesting points. How does one give to God, can it be through giving to a widow or an orphan, helping a youth minister that has to raise his own funds, helping a third-world child or giving to the church? And if time only counts when you don't have much money, at which point do you transition over to only money?

I give 0% to God. He doesnt need my money.

But to churches and other believers more than 0%. They do seem to need my money urgently.

Well I didn't really think you were going to put it in an envelope marked "God" and drop it in the post.

Why not? According to the WOF/ Pentecostal theorem your part is just handing the money over. Once it has left your hand its not your responsibilty anymore. So why not just throw it in the swanny?

Isn't it interesting how there are probably some believers who are in terrible financial problems, struggling putting food on the table and feeding their children, paying rent and medical expenses; and here we have believers debating how good they are, when in fact tithing isn't one of the New Covenants.

What a waste of time this thread is, particularly when tithing is no different to paying your taxes of the OT.

Today, we pay our taxes to look after the needy, widows, and children, and then from the remanants of our salary we give with a GRATEFUL HEART.

Blessings.

Really? When the people under Moses gave to build the temple, the Bible clearly says they gave to God. Why did that change?
