  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In an interview with CNN, he seems to admit he's fine with fabricating things to the american public:
MSN

“If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do,” said the senator.

“Because you guys are completely letting Kamala Harris coast.”

I thought I'd be fair and give the context.

What a hot take on lying though hey?
"IF I have to lie about a group of people to foment hatred against them to show how bad a different group of people have it, then my principles dictate that this is okay with me".

Also really strange that someone who calls themselves a Christian will so easily state they are willing to bear false witness against not just one person but thousands to further their own motives.

I don't recall the Sermon on the Mount saysing "Blessed is the liar who encourages distrust and hatred between fellow Christians" (because let's not forget that the number of illegal immigrants who are christian is not a small percentage.

Should I expect swift condemnation here or do I need a translation so I know what he actually meant to say?
