My uncle does it and will "wrap" it for a person in used Christmas wrap or a paper grocery bag.

My uncle uses the Sunday comics. In a pinch, I've even used aluminum foil, if that was all I had, although once I colored a page in a child's coloring book, and used that.

Wow. I wish I could get away with that kind of thing. I would probably end up giving back to people the things they gave to me.

lol! I jokingly said I was going to call in sick tomorrow because I didn't want to cover for the front desk and now my throat is all sore............Serves me right for being mean.

I usually end up taking whatever I don't want to Goodwill. Or, I sell it on a yard sale and keep the money. lol

Yeah, we have donated a ton of stuff, but occasionally we sell big items. We sold a freezer we didn't need recently on Craigslist which was awesome! It was just sitting empty in the garage using electricity, so it had to go.

I have never had a yard sale. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of having whole bunches of people coming up in my yard, looking through my stuff, y'know? I'm weird like that. I'm not there for the transaction when we sell things. The only time I got involved was when a woman last year came to buy an exercise bike I wasn't using. It had been very expensive when we bought it, and she was trying to say she had seen it online really cheap, but when I challenged her to print the page, she said she couldn't find it. Yeah, right. I had no problem finding the bike online and printing it off, showing the price new. I wasn't ripping her off - I just wanted a decent price for it and not to give it away.

I'm not a fan of hosting yard sales either. For starters, we're out in the sticks so not alot of traffic. If my parents or sister has a yard sale, we'll take some stuff over there to get rid of. If we can't sell it, we donate it to a thrift store. I find that the fastest way to get rid of stuff anyway!

Last minute self-invite from a husband's coworker and his family to check out our sound system tonight. Not a huge fan of that idea. What am I going to feed 4 extra people with an hour notice? Not to mention, I have a flute lesson to give in about 15 minutes.
Can I just go to bed again now?

When all else fails, we make quesadillas! You can add some chicken strips to make it fancy, but we feed them to people all the time. But then we do live in Texas.

My husband offered to pay for dinner and took us all out. It was sweet and I didn't have to do anything.

My sweetest and calmest dog got too excited when I was handing out meat treats... he got my finger really bad, and to make matters worse, I wasn't thrilled about it and I may have overdone my punishment. He isn't hurt or anything, but he was swatted pretty hard. He is now outside while the others are in.
I just feel bad. And my finger hurts. And my husband is out of town, so I'm all alone and crabyy.

I got a good giggle from hubby just before going to bed last night!

I went to bed about 15-20 minutes later than he did and as I went to crawl in I went up to his snoring face and asked, "Can I sleep with you?" He grumbles, "You want to sleep with us? Why? Where's your mother?" Then he realized it was me and not one of the kids and grumbles, "haha, yeah, that's soo funny! Good night, dear!"
