I think I am going to go veg out with some super mario 3.... old school :) I made it to world 8 (last level) but can't beat the boss... but I will I tell ya, I will!

Ok, I admit defeat :( I don't know how many times I tried to defeat the boss... I finally handed the controller over to my son... yeah he beat the boss in three tries... lol. Oh well, playing games is not one of my strengths so I am pretty pleased I made it through up to the final boss :)

Awww - at least it sounds as if it was a good bonding moment for you and your son.

Definitely! My son, daughter and I had a couple weeks of playing mario yoshi... I took the easy levels, daughter took the hard levels and, of course, son took the difficult levels... he is very good at hand/eye, reflexes...ok he is just plain good at games lol.

We have the reasonable doubt and preponderance standards. They mostly work. I could not have voted to convict her based on facts. Actually and objectively, no one could, because there are no unequivocal facts saying she is guilty.

It's one of those situations where you don't know what really happened. You just know that something is really amiss with the whole thing. That's what's so bad.

Yeah, I honestly would have been the same way. I, in fact, have been on a jury, where the witnesses in the case were all exposed liars, and all there was to go on was testimony. I couldn't vote to convict that man either. I was even instrumental in pointing out that lack of reasonable evidence to the others, even though I knew he was probably guilty of something, I just didn't know what, for sure.

So, funny thing happened today. Got a new running watch and was trying to calibrate it. Didn't stop it right. Apparently, it takes me 5 hours, 11 minutes to run 1 mile. That cracks me up.

Why- why does it crack you up? Why are you making fun of me!?!?

*cries and runs away... slowly*

I've been invited to dinner at a Yacht Club tonight. I've never been to dinner at a Yacht Club before - should be a fun/interesting experience.

I'd be terrified.

Mainly because I am easily intimidated by "society."

Good gosh, my little cousin is here today. She's 5. She hasn't stopped moving/talking since she came. Won't let me eat in peace, won't let me check my email in peace... Once my son is that age, it's going to be a fun ride. :D

You think you have until the age of 5 for that to start? ^_^ Once your son is walking, it's all over. My dd is 13 months and every time I sit down at the computer at home, she wedges herself between the desk and my chair and pushes on me until I pick her up. She also follows me EVERYwhere through the house - including the bathroom...where she stands in front of me and stares/"talks" to me until I'm done.

Bahaha. Oh the fun you're in for, girl. :D

I've been away for over 2 years, and i come back to see some things never change.

My summer is going to be interesting to say the least. I'll be seeing my kids only sporadically over the summer, and the events I have planned are all going to cost money. In the next 30 days I have an amusement park trip planned for a birthday and 4 days camping for a family reunion. Then is September and back to school stuff.

I have 7 dollars in my bank account, and half a tank of gas until I get paid next week. Now I have company coming (my parents) for the weekend, and almost no workable food in the pantry.

Blah.

This reminds me of the time I asked my aunt at what age was it most difficult to raise a kid. "After they turn about two," she said. "From two until what age?" "All ages." ^_^ :sorry: :help:

My son crawls now and also stands up with help. Yup, we've officially gone mobile. :help:

Awww! Yay for him - prayers for you! ;) My daughter is currently trying to master climbing up on the couch. I'm pretty sure her motivation is to reach the remote control - she loves it and we keep it up on the back cushions so she can't reach it. ^_^

I know, right? Pain is my friend!

My husband can relate. Our dd's new favorite pasttime (at 13 months) is to stand at one end of the couch and run to him at the other end and dive bomb him. :D

And...I have a brand spanking new user title!

That's all sorts of win! :D
