  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what part of the idea of karma is not included in the spirit of wisdom?

What goes around does come around, eventually, if not in this world then the next. However, evil men live and are happy, they dont seem to have a care in the world, while the righteous suffer. Job and David both noted this, and even Solomon i think. The righteous are sheep to slaughter in this world, while rich men fatten their own hearts for the day of slaughter. Its like the Lord said in these scriptures, i suppose-

Luke 6:20 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:

“Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
For you shall be filled.
Blessed are you who weep now,
For you shall laugh.

4 “But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.
25 Woe to you who are full,
For you shall hunger.
Woe to you who laugh now,
For you shall mourn and weep.

you could say that evil men are happy and I could say they are unhappy and we could both be right. can you see how this can be true?

we could just divide spiritual happiness from worldly happiness and then say you reap what you sow and then say that that is justice or karma or law. I could say that karma is surmounted by Gods grace when a person is willing to stop being bound to the laws that are set down by God seeing as how Gods love in Christ is far about the law. I can also say that the Lord loves all of us so much that he surmounts justice and punishments and all things for our sake, since he even gave his only begotten son for us. yes, the Lord does all thing moving them towards our good, even our evil choices and stumbling over him due to our wicked and blind hearts not being able to grasp the Lords will. because God is not like men and his face was marred more than any mans and no man takes to heart what the Lord says....

they either attempt to blindly submit to what they believe is his will ( thus being puffed up ) or they hate him because of the image that they see of him. and those two types of souls work together to keep each other in chains. it is impossible for a man to enter into the needle gate without God. the thing is that both types of children both know and say good things revealed to them by good angels of the Lord. there is nothing better than God in this world and the forsaking our our sinful self and living in the new man who is Christ. not many should be teachers because not many are qualified. our entire life should be spiritual. our only focus should be God because in the kingdom of God alone shall we know and walk in the truth. the flesh profits nothing. I type so many words as a spiritual practice because I was told long ago that it is good to daily speak the truth to those seeking God and to seek out those that seek after God. Jesus Christ offers so much to us. I wish all of us who are called Christians would change the world more than we have. but the requirement is to walk deeply in the Spirit in Christ for only with him shall we make his enemies his footstool. and you see this to various degrees in different people.

here are some things to chew upon:

Matt 5:21-26 (YLT)
`Ye heard that it was said to the ancients: Thou shalt not kill, and whoever may kill shall be in danger of the judgment; but I--I say to you, that every one who is angry at his brother without cause, shall be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Empty fellow! shall be in danger of the sanhedrim, and whoever may say, Rebel! shall be in danger of the gehenna of the fire. `If, therefore, thou mayest bring thy gift to the altar, and there mayest remember that thy brother hath anything against thee, leave there thy gift before the altar, and go--first be reconciled to thy brother, and then having come bring thy gift. `Be agreeing with thy opponent quickly, while thou art in the way with him, that the opponent may not deliver thee to the judge, and the judge may deliver thee to the officer, and to prison thou mayest be cast, verily I say to thee, thou mayest not come forth thence till that thou mayest pay the last farthing.

Luke 12:57-59 (YLT)
`And why, also, of yourselves, judge ye not what is righteous? for, as thou art going away with thy opponent to the ruler, in the way give diligence to be released from him, lest he may drag thee unto the judge, and the judge may deliver thee to the officer, and the officer may cast thee into prison; I say to thee, thou mayest not come forth thence till even the last mite thou mayest give back.'

Matt 6:12 (YLT)
`And forgive us our debts, as also we forgive our debtors.

Matt 6:33 (YLT)
but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.

Matt 6:14-15 (YLT)
`For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you--your Father who is in the heavens; but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matt 12:31 (YLT)
Because of this I say to you, all sin and evil speaking shall be forgiven to men, but the evil speaking of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

Matt 12:30-32 (YLT)
`He who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me, doth scatter. Because of this I say to you, all sin and evil speaking shall be forgiven to men, but the evil speaking of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men. And whoever may speak a word against the Son of Man it shall be forgiven to him, but whoever may speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is coming.

Matt 18:21-35 (YLT)
Then Peter having come near to him, said, `Sir, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him--till seven times?' Jesus saith to him, `I do not say to thee till seven times, but till seventy times seven. `Because of this was the reign of the heavens likened to a man, a king, who did will to take reckoning with his servants, and he having begun to take account, there was brought near to him one debtor of a myriad of talents, and he having nothing to pay, his lord did command him to be sold, and his wife, and the children, and all, whatever he had, and payment to be made. The servant then, having fallen down, was bowing to him, saying, Sir, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all; and the lord of that servant having been moved with compassion did release him, and the debt he forgave him. `And, that servant having come forth, found one of his fellow-servants who was owing him an hundred denaries, and having laid hold, he took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that which thou owest. His fellow-servant then, having fallen down at his feet, was calling on him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all; and he would not, but having gone away, he cast him into prison, till he might pay that which was owing. `And his fellow-servants having seen the things that were done, were grieved exceedingly, and having come, shewed fully to their lord all the things that were done; then having called him, his lord saith to him, Evil servant! all that debt I did forgive thee, seeing thou didst call upon me, did it not behove also thee to have dealt kindly with thy fellow-servant, as I also dealt kindly with thee? `And having been wroth, his lord delivered him to the inquisitors, till he might pay all that was owing to him; so also my heavenly Father will do to you, if ye may not forgive each one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.'

Matt 18:1-11 (YLT)
At that hour came the disciples near to Jesus, saying, `Who, now, is greater in the reign of the heavens?' And Jesus having called near a child, did set him in the midst of them, and said, `Verily I say to you, if ye may not be turned and become as the children, ye may not enter into the reign of the heavens; whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the reign of the heavens. `And he who may receive one such child in my name, doth receive me, and whoever may cause to stumble one of those little ones who are believing in me, it is better for him that a weighty millstone may be hanged upon his neck, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea. `Woe to the world from the stumbling-blocks! for there is a necessity for the stumbling-blocks to come, but woe to that man through whom the stumbling-block doth come! `And if thy hand or thy foot doth cause thee to stumble, cut them off and cast from thee; it is good for thee to enter into the life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast to the fire the age-during. `And if thine eye doth cause thee to stumble, pluck it out and cast from thee; it is good for thee one-eyed to enter into the life, rather than having two eyes to be cast to the gehenna of the fire. `Beware! --ye may not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you, that their messengers in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens, for the Son of Man did come to save the lost.

so from what the Lord teaches me I see that his mercy is so much greater than mans ideas of justice and karma. I seek the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven and flesh and blood does not inherit it. that which is the flesh is flesh and that which is spirit is spirit.

so we can either pick heaven or the earth. life with or without God. life close to or far away from God. that is natural karma. fate and freedom are the same thing. you reap what you sow and you are what you eat. whatever you bow your knee to is what is your master. those are deep and simple spiritual truths and no man by his knowledge or understanding will escape from the Lords eyes.

I often think about this scripture and its meaning. I have two possible meanings for it, and they both seem to be about walking in humility. Im unsure if either is correct but i know that humility is always correct.

ehehe and I never suggested that men had any ideas worth listening to other than the ones the Lord blesses them with. ;)

can you tell me some differences between the humility of the world and the humility of heaven?

I understand (to some degree) that parable because i have lived it out in various ways. a good man taught me that each of us has an unpayble debt. most human beings have given to us what we can never repay. each of our debt is so much that only Gods grace could ever resolve our debt. only the Son of God himself could pull us out of the pit we dug for ourselves.

can you believe the insanity of the ones who weep over Babylon? they are so busy buying and selling that they forgot just how much debt they owed.

sometimes humility is joy to our spirit and distasteful to our flesh. the Lord has blessed me with a very great gift. he has blessed me with many curses in my flesh. I am tormented in myself because of the evil burdens I bare but the Lord allows it for my spiritual growth. what is a joy to the flesh is not always a joy to the spirit and what is a joy to the spirit is not always a joy to the flesh. the Lord is concerned with the well being and preservation of our spirits first and foremost.

The humility that God teaches us about is the act of humility before Him, in truth. It is seen on our knees in all our unworthiness, praising Him and saying that Jesus is Lord. This same humility will humble us in the presence of both God and other men.

I know nothing about the worlds idea of humility.

true.

how do you think Jesus Christ was humble to God his Father when he was not unworthy of him since God was well pleased with him?

did you know that sometimes when the saints tell us something that it is about our flesh and not our spirit? and so some teachings and rules are not applied our spiritual man but only to our carnal while some teachings are speaking about our spiritual man and not our fleshly man.

so it is a good thing to know the difference between good and evil is it not... since the Holy Spirit teaches us. and it is very important that our old man die more and more and that our new man grow stronger and stronger.

THe Lord was humble because He was born from above, not below, and thats the only answer i know.

As far as rules which teach good vs evil. This is a complex thing to nail down. Anything not of faith is sin. The law was taken away, yet we are still given rules. ITs very complex and i have yet to find a person who fully understands it all, in all its complexity. I think simplicity is the bridge between contradiction and any measure of fullness we may hope to obtain in this world. What is our purpose? How do we serve the Lord? It seems by humility, meekness and love/charity. And these things, in my opinion, are manifested in simplicity

what part of the idea of karma is not included in the spirit of wisdom?

karma is a kind of mechanical/perfunctory law as opposed to the law of the true God, that is shown in the biblical scriptures, which is the law of the absolute love, because karma does not ever take good care of all human and other ensouled beings, but tries to make all of them be passed through millions of vain, ruinous and painful rebirths as well as billions of afflictions, for it is not alone, but is a whole/working together with many other false doctrines such as those of: the three gunas, samsara, yugas, kalpas, etc., while the true God is the Good Heavenly Father of all people/souls Who always tries to provide each of them with abundant and everlasting life in the long(est) run, that is why it is written:

Revelation 13:9-10 "If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

because the law of karma tries to doom all souls to suffer as long/many times as possible within each eternity, while the law of the true God tries to reduce/shorten their afflictions to the maximum for each eternity

Blessings

Gods spirit is fullness. being in Christ is fullness. what greater reward is there than to be loved by God and to love God? to be truly spiritually sane? true simplicity, true humility... what further rewards could we possibly hope for but to only be pure and innocent before the Lord with no spot or wrinkle? to endure the darkness of this present age for Christ sake and to be a light of the world for Gods own love and mercys sake? God has already promised us all things and the fullness of life and himself and to make each of us his holy temple...

we truly have the very best because we seek after God. and certainly God seeks after us more than we seek after him. the only thing left to happen is all our evils fade completely away and every tear to be wiped away from us. for God to love us and for us to love God is the fullness and completion of reality.

goodnight :)

Some people don't understand that definition of Karma but instead learn another. To them it is simply the law of "what comes around, goes around"

the wrong/false beliefs/persuasion in the faith, for example the doctrine of karma is devilish, but there were even sects ostensibly professing Christ that included it in their creed - Galatians 5 is about the misbelief/heresy considered/represented as unclean leaven

Blessings

If one is persuaded, they are persuaded in thought, much like the woman (in Genesis) is the example of.

and where does the thought come from?!, isn't the spiritual the source of the thought?!

Blessings

Not for David, that day on the roof, or for Lot when he chose the left hand, or for those Paul was talking to who were persuaded by a truth/thought/seed (of a serpent) outside of themselves.

reincarnation sounds really terrible. I don't know what hell is worse, the one that Christians come up with or the one where you have to be reborn again and again in this world.

Explain the process as you see it of seed time and harvest in relationship to the soul as opposed to the spirit in the scenario of David and the woman on the roof as it relates to something happening in David ...
