I don't really care for them myself. IMHO he's a better marketer than painter.

They make me think of 'happy little trees' (Bob Ross). The compositions, weak perspective, and color schemes are mostly the same in a vast majority of his paintings. It seems kind of redundant because there are soooo many similar ones. It seems to me values and contrast could often be better.
In a great deal of the paintings my eye doesn't fix on one focal point, but roves around. You can see the composition was designed to lead the eye but the use of color gets distracting. Maybe that' s intentional. (?) I find myself looking at the dead center middle in many of his paintings and generally it's recommended to not do that with your comp. In a few he has reds right on the edge of the canvas/print which actually leads your eye out of the picture. I actually had a art instructor say, 'next time you're thinking of dabbing that red paint on the edge of your canvas all by it's lonesome, put down your brush and smack yourself upside your head.'

To me the paintings look more like storybook illustrations or holiday card art than something to hang on a wall. They're pretty but as far as 'Art' goes just ...meh. Everyone has different tastes and a painting, picture will speak to us all differently. Enough people like him so he must be doing something right.
