Sleeping out-of-doors is something I haven't willingly done for thirty years. Hence the Caravan. You're saying the house is available for occupation whilst being refitted? Let's see, a English country house, a few horses to play with, and a This Old House experiance... Tempting? I should think! Especially if there's a Carriage House. And not uncommon here. One of our neighbors here down south drives a Till Construction (or something like that) van.
I heart B&Q and Wickes, but there can be no tent nor caravan squatting on the estate...sorry, Stude. There are a few full time residents there who would go crazy sending us e-mails!!!
The house is habitable and fairly clean; however, there are only two horses in the paddock right now if you're determined to sleep out of doors.
I don't EVER want to renovate another house, especially one that was inherited and had been flooded from internal plumbing leaks. I'm counting the days until we can pull out the offending header tank, but it could be a year or more before we can do that.![]()

Speaking of house renovation, that bathroom I'm doing? I have only to grout the bottom border and a few touchups and it's officially done. Lowes carries the grout. They're the only ones. So, that part of the job is held up by Lowe's silliness for three weeks. The customer's going nutz because they have this beautiful bathroom and can't use it.
