That's funny about the wreath LC. I get upset with those who leave their lights up past January 1st-
Fortunate for you I'm not a neighbor or I would have knocked on your door asking, hey do you mind taking that down.
Now everyone knows the truth about me.

I didn't know crows ate egss, but then I guess that would make sense. They are pretty big.

I know once I see the robin, I'll say oh yeah, I've seen them before.
LOL I would have appreciated a knock on the door! I remember the people who owned our house before we bought it- I happened to drive past that house a lot on my way to my parents house, 'back when'. One year they had an evergreen wreath with red lights on it. It stayed, and stayed, the wreath turned brown, still it was up- and they CONTINUED to light it every day!!! I always wondered what was up with that as it stayed up at least through the summer.

This year, there is a house a couple blocks from us that we walk by. They totally decorated the place for Christmas and EVERYTHING is still up. Giant candy canes on each side of the walk, a big 'tree' outline on the house with strings of lights, fake pointsettias in planters by the door (and this is a really pretty, very well-kept, big brick house). At least they don't turn the lights on anymore but I am really getting tired of looking at it. Guess we don't have to walk down that street... but yet, I know it's still there!

I think I'll be taking my leave of CF. Staff Edit.
I waste too much time on the computer anyway. Gots too much important things to attend to in reality.

My prayers are with you all.
Goodness, that's rather abrupt. We will miss you. Come back when you feel like it again. I'm bowing out of the OCD forum for a while. It's tough there right now too.

And ours with you. I do hope you return in time... I have learned SO much from you, and you have been one of the stalwart rocks of this forum. Whenever a doctrinal question comes up, you are one of the main folks I wait to hear from. I will miss that a great deal.

Staff Edit

Please know that you will be sorely missed, both for your fellowship with us and your faithful service to the Word in these forums.

What is the OCD forum?
Obesessive-Compulsive Disorder. I have it. Used to have it very bad. There are meds and therapy for it, but the fundamentalists don't believe in any of that - so they keep on suffering. They can't imagine how God could use these things to cure someone. It's very sad.

May you be blessed in all you do.

The past couple days have been difficult for me to get on to post. Happy belated birthday DRev. That was a beautiful cake. Don't know what happened, but hope to see you again. Thanks for the picture of the robin, it was very helpful.

Your post of the Chirstmas decorations was pretty interesting LC ^_^. My eyebrows were raised the entire time reading it.

Prayers for all. Hope this Weds. is pouring blessing upon blessing.

Christmas? I only just put out my Easter bunnies and lambs. ^_^

It's gorgeous here today, too. Yesterday turned cloudy, wet and cool, but that misery didn't hang around as long as was forecast, so we've been out and about a bit today.

We must be acclimating, because after a few minutes outside we shed our jackets and it was only 13C. The large park across the road is hard to avoid on such days and we enjoy watching the variety of dogs being walked. We miss our pets, but it's too soon to think about whether or not we want to commit to one, especially without a yard of our own.

Now that I have a food processor, I am determined to cook a lot more Italian and Mexican dishes. My cottage pie and lamb chops are OK, but we all like pasta dishes a bit more than meat and potatoes. Tonight, I am attempting chicken parmigiana, using a Tyler Florence recipe. Hubby's not a big fan of chicken, so I hope it turns out OK. If not, I hope he's kind about it. :sorry:

LOL! Oh my, Porter, welcome to the land of the Britons. Where anything with flavour is considered 'foreign food' and therefore suspect.;)

Good morning everyone.
Well, it looks like I jumped the gun getting the veg out of the greenhouse. We've had frost the past two days and the Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts have both been nipped back. Still, they're supposed to be a winter/cold weather crop. So, I just might take a chance and leave them out.

Our gracious Lord's blessings to all. I hope you have a great day all round.

Evening everyone. Holidays are so much fun aren't they? From Christmas decorations to bunnies being put out. I used to do things like that when the children were at home, but don't anymore. Now I make sure the items are mailed before the holiday deadline so they can mess up their own homes. I like this much better than when they were in the house :)

Plus I don't have to hide from them in order to keep the special items bought just for me :D

Doesn't sound like you lost too many plants or buds stude. Here it's warm and I'm not accustom to the plants in the region. It's been doing a number on me for the past two weeks. I have, however, been advised that my biggest problem is from the oak tree. Now to figure out what this oak tree looks like so that I can eliminate them so I feel better.

No I don't know what a lot of things look like. I'm from the desert remember. Even though I have traveled extensively, I didn't take the time to get to know the different plant variations of wherever I was at. Didn't have too- I went home.

Sorry to hear about your cat Strawberry. I do understand and I know He does too. Maybe someday I will share a time in my life that so seems to parellel what you posted. But for this day I pray the Lord and Savior will conceal you in His cloak and bring you comfort. I really am sorry.

Hey poterross you teach me how to cook and make lamb dishes and I'll give in return Sonoran Mexican dishes.

Mexican dishes- forget the "Hi mom how ya doin'" intead it's "What will mom cook while she's here". All visits with my daughter usually start with sonoran enchiladas. I purchase the Las Paloma's and store it in my suitcase. Some vacation!

Hi everyone!

Sounds like everyone is enjoying the weather and having a good time! Yay!

The last couple of days have been REALLY hard for me. As you all know. ;) But...I've found my silver linings and I'm *finally* in a good place with all of this.

Aggie is still missing. I'm still heart broken and hurting over it. But there are things that are coming to light now that I'm past the anger and extreme depression.

Aggie is microchiped. Any shelter that gets her (if they do) will scan her and she'll be brought back to us.

We have signs and fliers all over the place. People have begun to call, most of them are just calling to say "hey, I live in the neighborhood and I wanted to let you know that I'm keeping my eyes peeled for her! We'll bring her home!"

Silver lining number one...

My faith is growing again. I had a point where I was looking up overdose information on the various drugs I'm taking and that Mike is taking. But I'm not stupid and I'd never go that route. It was scary seeing how close I was though.

I'm not anymore. No desire, no plan. I'm GOD's child. He holds me in His hands. He gives me the faith I need to stay on track. I just have to listen. And listening is what I'm doing.

Silver lining number 2

I'm walking. Everyday since she's been gone, Mike and I have taken a walk to spread our scent so she can find us again. Even if Aggie is gone for good (please God no!!!), I'll have the health benefits from my walking. I already feel better physically and I'm noticing the mental "feel goods" as well.

So. I may not like what's going on, but I DO have to TRUST in The LORD my God. HE loves me. HE loves Aggie. He'll be with us both until we can be together again. Even if that's not until I get to the Rainbow Bridge.

Kae
