Oh aren't they gorgeous! Beautiful! Everyone looks so beautiful and handsome! I'm so happy for you!

 Aww, thank you. It took a few days to sink in for me, but once I stopped hyperventilating, I accepted the fact that I'm hitched. So far, it's not too bad, but hubby keeps reminding me I haven't lived through an English winter yet. Lots of good, warm food and cuddling will keep that from being a problem and it sure will be nice to have the time to cook full meals every day. :)

I know I sure enjoy having the time to actually take care of my husband. *G* I think you'll have a grand time in Jolly Olde England. ;)

Quilty...just thinking of you and praying that you're feeling better. Just stomp on the ground and give that stupid satan (No FireFox! I'm NOT capitalizing that idiot's name!!!) a migraine!

:)

I had a (liberal) friend ask if I was going to watch. I replied "No" and she said "but it's a HISTORIC occasion!"

To which I replied "Well, I figured I'd wait until the country actually elects a BLACK president to regard it as "historic" "

I thought her hair was going to fall out. ::giggles:: I'm so bad...

I am having lunch with a friend, then a massage and then I have Club in the evening so no watching inauguration here
besides that, they will be playing it over and over and over and over for the next how many days, or weeks.

Or you can order the DVDs for 5 easy payments of $39.95 each; then watch until you need a bailout to afford the DVDs.
Oh wait,
did I write that? (smileys removed for brevity.)

You mean they're only $199.75? I hear they were charging "other" folks 5 payments of $399.95!!!

;)

Do you get a commemorative plate, mug, pen, limited edition coin or lampshade with that or are those extra? :p

Not to worry, Quilty. With the Australian Open on ESPN and the Tennis channel all day, every day for the next week and a half, you can avoid the worst of it....I know I will. ;)

I envy you your massage, BTW.

Sorry to hear I'm not the only one. I've been blah since my husband left. Of course, I have been sick, yet still had to get our visa packages together and off to the consulate by Friday. It feels like I haven't seen him for months and it's only been one week. What a basket case I'm becoming!

I have tons to get done for our departure, yet I can't seem to get motivated. Either I'm not completely over being sick or there's something else happening.....of course, it could be the allergy meds, but I think it's a combination of things, including the climate, since it's affecting so many people. Don't they make vitamins for this? :p

Yeah, they're called Airborne. Regardless of what they did or did not claim, Airborne has always helped me when I'm feeling yucky. Of course, I always did like Fizzy tablets when I was a kid so...:p

Regarding the weather; we've been dry and cold here in No. Cal. Redding has been downright warm! It's getting a bit worrisome. We really need the water. If we don't get snow, the water table up here won't be recharged. There were no Spring rains last year at all, so we really need both snow then rain. Oh well, just a worrywart I suppose...

Oh well, on a more upbeat note, I got the starter for my car fixed today. The old girl's motor has been out for several months sitting on some jack stands. I fixed and re-assembled the starter, installed it, and hooked it up (via jumper cables) to the truck's battery and the motor turned over like a champ! Pretty durn good for a fifty-two year old engine!;) Now all I have to do is assemble all the bits I need and put it all back together (that odd little bolt goes where?).

Thank you. I bought the dress on a whim, but the photographer was well-planned and she's great. The groom chose the rings, but I had to have as many of my favorite flowers as I could. ;)

I say it gets replayed for two weeks assuming that some whack job in the KKK doesn't try to kill him.

When I was in high school, my friend called it "the third quarter crazies". No one is sick at my house at the moment. But I for one am getting a bit tired of fighting ice and snow and slush. There's a rumor that it might get above freezing by the end of the week, for the first time this year. I hope to be able to wash the van. I seem to remember it was black last time it was clean.

I don't have a special light like Seajoy's, so I do the best I can. When it's sunny, I try to get outside for at least a few minutes, assuming there's no danger of frostbite after 2 minutes, and there's a place I can stand without fear of falling on the ice again. Next best is a sunny window. I bless my husband for choosing that particular light fixture every time I go in the kitchen. It used to be soooo dark in there, and now it's so bright. Bright colors help. I just got some really bright pink yarn that is going to become a scarf, I think. Maybe I should get a bunch of bright yellow flowers when I go to the grocery store next.

Quilty, go play in your sewing room. I hope you have a bright window in there!

Hey Late
Do you know how many days we have been below freezing and how many days we have been below zero since all this wintry weather started before Thanksgiving?

I know I am going to see above freezing temps this weekend as I am headed to my son's in Nebraska on Friday for a few days.
