We had our first snow day of the season. Sheriff recommended no travel and all the local schools closed. Tiger was excited today--the snow didn't stop his first visit from the tooth fairy. He pulled out both his loose teeth yesterday all by himself. He's also excited about his Sunday School Christmas program this Sunday. It will be his first one. He's always been too sick in December to participate. We're practicing "Go Tell It On The Mountain".

They got a dusting of snow in So. Oregon and on the No. California border last night. There's snow on the forcast for Lewiston this weekend and all the way up to Tuesday. It'll be our first measurable snow, if it comes our way.

Here in WI, we keep on going until there is at least a foot or two. We are at 23" already this season.

My 8 yr old granddaughter has been wanting snow, she hadn't been able to play in it yet at her age. She talks about snow all the time. She said she wanted to come to my house if it snowed so she could go sledding, we got some hills here

My granddaughter (4 yrs old) refuses to go outside without snowpants, now that we have snow. One day last week she was sick and stayed home from head start. Later in the day she apparently was feeling better, so put on her coat, snowpants, boots.... all ready to go outside. However, underneath her snowsuit, she was only wearing underpants!

My daughter used to want to live in her ski pants while we were in the mountains. I wonder if the sound the material makes has something to do with it, because they sure aren't comfy.

Well, ya know... it seemed about time to change my CF figure and it's background to reflect the change of season, etc and found that it didn't work. So I contacted a mod and was told that everything I had was gone. She was kind enough to point me to a thread dealing with this and it explained that everything needed to be bought back.

Okay...

Well, getting everything back wasn't too very much of a problem till I went looking for Nana (the dog at my feet). No such thing available. I'm not going to change my Avatar till Nana can be found. After all, she is my companion wherever I go.

You know, I can kinda sympathise with Tiger. One year I figured that the Tooth Fairy was a really good deal! After the third tooth got pulled my parents got wise and made me wait a whole week for the dollar.

Later in the day she apparently was feeling better, so put on her coat, snowpants, boots.... all ready to go outside. However, underneath her snowsuit, she was only wearing underpants!

LOL! Well, at least she had a snowsuit on. My youngest used to hitch up his diapers, clap a half-gallon Tupperware measuring cup on his head (called it his helmet), and dash outside without anything else on! We used to have to chase him down like that all the time. Thankfully, it didn't get so cold as to snow down in Perris.

Stude--you got a whole dollar a tooth!!!??? I used to get a nickel or dime. Ah, inflation. The going rate around here these days is a dollar a tooth. Tiger thinks he's rich because he got 8 quarters. BTW, our tooth fairy doesn't go for that under the pillow business. We leave them in a juice glass of water on the kitchen windowsill. Makes it much easier for the tooth fairy that way.

How's the real-life Nana these days? I hope she's as well as possible considering her age.

Yeah, we got a dollar. Only if we brushed our teeth morning and night though. I remember pictures of us with brushes in our pockets. My brother Tom kept one in his pocket till he was thirty. We used to brush every time we ate. Especially if sweets were involved. Years later my dentist told me it was way... too much and suggested I go back to the twice daily routine.

Nana's getting along pretty well. She's pretty stiff on cold days. Yesterday she rode along with us to town and only got out (with a little persuading) at the hardware store. I think mainly for the popcorn.

We got lightly dusted with 'popcorn snow' last night. It was down in the teens. The greenhouse weathered it well. Though, I hope the wicks for my kero-heater come in the mail soon. The electric bill will kill us otherwise. It was over a hundred-fifty a month to heat the greenhouse last year.

Years ago I had my motorcycle parked right next to the porch steps. My second oldest would climb down the steps and climb onto the cycle and rip off his diaper. He liked his bare butt on the seat warmed from the sun.
