Supposedly, it's 63 degrees out here. It was freezing this morning, though.

I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He made a roaring fire in the fireplace, set up my recliner right in front of it (also facing the lovely Christmas tree), offered me a glass of wine, and told me to enjoy reading the new book I got for my birthday - The Reformation, A History.

Oh, life is very, very good!

I just got finished baking my first batch of Christmas cookies for this season. Peanut butter blossoms with the chocolate kiss. Hubby and son-in-law's favorite. I aim to please.

Mmmmm cookies! *sigh* Our Church's Cookie Walk is next Saturday. I was called to help work it but I'm going to decline. It's just too much temptation for me right now and I need to keep my sugars low.

Today it is 12 degrees outside. The furnace guy comes tomorrow morning. The space heater is cranking out some heat and I just turned off the oven so it's toasty in the kitchen and living room but freezing back in my room and the computer room.

And I woke up with hives this morning. I ITCH everywhere. So it's benedryl and bed for me. Luckily, I was able to listen to The Lutheran Hour this morning so I got to hear a sermon. I'm going to download some Issues Etc to my mp3 player and hear some good Lutheran talk while I wait for the benedryl to kick in. *sigh* I hate missing Church.

I hate missing too, I started going to this church, went 2 sundays in a row, missed last sunday, and looks like today too, still don't feel real good. My sinus's were packed with the bronchitis, may take awhile. I missed last sunday and the pastor of that church called yesterday, told him I been sick. He prayed over the phone. Think I may have found the church to go to

It was nice. Thanks. I probably shouldn't have waited so long to go to the dr. Its slowly gettting better, I'm not coughing like I was, my sinu's don't feel as full but you can still see they are swollen. I'm slowly getting there.

Well, I woke up with a sinus headache so took some stuff and went back to bed which means I missed worship. I hate it when that happens. I need to take another dose of Tylenol and go back to bed.

I am looking at about 10 degrees and a little bit of snow though it looks like the heavier stuff missed us. With all these low temps in places we don't normally see them, makes me wonder about "global warming." Oh wait, they now say "climate change" as you are going to see times where it is colder and somewhere it is warmer than normal. Isn't that just normal temperature fluctuations?

Well, back to bed for me and hopefully I shall get up with a little less of an achy head.

I hope everyone feels better. We're off to San Antonio for a couple of days. My daughter is getting her braces off, so we're making a girls' trip of it. I hope there are a few good sales.

I hope everyone feels better. We're off to San Antonio for a couple of days. My daughter is getting her braces off, so we're making a girls' trip of it.

Naw... That's them Catholic priests. Also, Angel's another pastor's wife. If the Revrand showed up in her bedroom and started sermonizing her, Angel's husband/pastor just might have something to say about it.

I'm currently in Battle Ground WA. My friend Paula needed a driver to go and visit her brother, so I went along to drive and enjoy a 'lil mini holiday. The trees here are so... beautiful.

We had our first snow day of the season. Sheriff recommended no travel and all the local schools closed. Tiger was excited today--the snow didn't stop his first visit from the tooth fairy. He pulled out both his loose teeth yesterday all by himself. He's also excited about his Sunday School Christmas program this Sunday. It will be his first one. He's always been too sick in December to participate. We're practicing "Go Tell It On The Mountain".
