Just
&
my hubby goodbye. He's left for a 6 day business trip.
I'll probably be here in the kitchen a lot over the next week. Hope you don't get sick of my cooking!

Ah yes..you cannot forget the pond. I suppose it would have to be artificially dug out and filled with water and fish. And a little Island with a bench and a birdhouse in the middle..You'll need a pond too, wish I had one
Well I couldn't make it to church this morning. Snow and an 80 mile round trip on back roads. So I'm Listening to KFUO on line. Lots of good services and bible classes this morning.
Yep---I live in the boonies way out in the country in a log cabin on 20 acres. Rife with wildlife and seclusion. Cut my own wood for my woodstove this winter. Livin' off th grid
.
Well with me---God protects the stupid. I have to quit going out on the snow and ice to get wood in my flip-flops. Just laziness on my part. Don't feel like putting on my boots. I've done some "skating" around while juggling the logs and just thank God sometimes that I make it back in the house safe.
Howdy, all. I just returned (300 miles) from the weekend of preaching, etc.
And I am sore!
Yesterday morning there was rain starting coming down as I went from the parsonage to the church (across the street). Within 15 minutes I was going to go back to the parsonage. It looked identical in terms of everything being wet, but it was pure ice. I couldn't even get to the railing. I did a nice 1 1/2 somersault, hitting my shoulder, back, hips, lower leg and head as I went down 6 stairs of concrete! The good thing about my hips: it actually hit my cell phone in my belt holster, and popped it out and into the street. Probably saved my hip from an even worse injury.
Someone took me to the hospital - no broken bones, but I am getting a little black and blue. And driving back today for 4 1/2 hours, my shoulders and hips have stiffened up quite a bit.
As I was going down, around, over, under, I was thinking, "This is pretty idiotic!"Well, you know, God watches over old people and fools and ...

Aha, so the desert even with the snakes, spiders, scorpions, cacti, vast openness and stinging bushes is still safer? I knew it!!!
