Pentecost and the Holy Spirit. I learned something new. Did you know that the HS grieves? I didn't know that. It was a good study. I needed it.

However, being all relaxed, we had interesting comments to make.

Seriously, there is a Baptist group that meets at the Schlafly Bottle Works (that would be Beer) in Maplewood. I heard the SBC is trying to get them ousted from the Convention.

Wednesday night I was teaching the confirmands about the elements in the Lord's supper and I let them taste the bread and wine so they would know what to expect when they receive the Lord's Supper for the first time.
There are three of them, but one girl is extremely allergic to alcohol (she can't even be around someone who is wearing perfume), so only two of them tasted the wine. I gave it to them in the little shot glasses (don't get me started). The simultaneously drank it, made the most horrific faces, and made a mad dash out of the sanctuary, down the stairs, through the fellowship hall, and into the kitchen for water.
It was hilarious!!
