funny, her parents could have saved the expense of sending her to Japan by just sending her to finishing school here in the U.S. Better would have been such a school in Britian or France. But we're back to the expense of a foreign education again there.

What brought all this on was, a Christian biker buddy of mine married a Filipino lady and he's in heaven. She wasn't just anybody. She had a good business in her home land but she is old school and even cuts his meat at meals. hmmm..................

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Why would I marry someone if I didn't love them? 'Couse my X did.

Yea---or some liberal variation of it. She didn't like my attitude. She thought I had a "holier than thou" attitude. Maybe I did. I don't know.

Nor do I. If that were true, surely you two could have worked on it instead of her using it as an excuse to walk away.
We all have to learn from our mistakes sometimes. It goes with the earthly territory.

Well that wasn't the only issues. She came from an alcoholic, mentally abusive marriage, or so she said. She would change her tune sometimes. Anyway she had tried to control the uncontrollable in her previous marriage. That's what alcoholic mates do. She also didn't think she could ever loved again. I knew some of these issue but not all of them and trying to be a fixer, I tried to help her. I never told her what to do but I would put out hints about what I had read about codependency issues and mates of alcoholics and she took the hints and started to go to codependency classes. She finally said she never loved me even though she had tried. This was the person that said previously that she didn't know if she could ever loved again. Being just plain stupid and in love I saw the warning signs but believed that she could be whole again.

PS: I also think that she tried to control me and when she found out she couldn't change me she left. Sooooo many variables
