I haven't been coming here for long. That said... It seems to me that the biggest agitators here are the ones without a denominational indicator. It says "Christian". These people can float around and seemingly say whatever they wish to whichever audience they wish. The rest of us are then condemmed for defending our faith. It's a true pity that a rabble rouser can be so coddled by the staff and allowed to make depreciating remarks and the people defending themselves are diciplined. I won't name any names, wouldn't want to embarrass Willy. Oops!:o
I've been working on moving and cleaning all day. Hayfever medicine made this a major struggle. Oi, vay! As for getting a call from my youngest, to whom I was both mother and father, I don't hear from him on my birthday, father's day, Christmas, Easter or any other day of the year. Rarely from the other three either. So why should Sunday have been any different.

Hey there - I haven't even been here this weekend! I though I was bad about blanket statements.
This weekend, I actually did what most healthy people without messageboard addictions were doing, spending time with my family and friends. Maybe if the board is getting to be too much you and others should try doing the same. It's good therapy. Trust me, I know.
I also have the Christian icon because I am a Christian first. I prefer to look to the Cross before a Lutheran rose. If we could have two icons, my second would be the Lutheran one.

Some folks don't have the blessings of family around them, and message boards can fill that gap at times. I've found my Christian friends here to be of great comfort to me many times, I hope I have been to them as well.
There are times also, when the forum can get a bit too hot. I think our mods do their best to try and keep it cooled down.
And yes, I agree, breaks are sometimes good things, as I have found as well.

That part of my comment was partially tongue in cheek. However, I've seen people substitute the boards for the basis of their social life and it's not healthy.

Congrats DaRev. How in the world did you have gkids so young? I have 5 but I didn't get all them till I was 57 and I was even married at 21.I have a new grandson!!!

Synger, I had no intention to include you in the troublemaker's group. Perhaps it would be easier to have preceeded the statement with the cavaet 'sometimes it seems that some people...' but then, 'it often seems that,' would work too. Still, we get people with non-denom indicators who don't belong here and without an indicator, how are we to tell who those people are? Rules are rules and this forum seems to be very strict on them from time to time. I'm not the type who runs to mommy for help (or the Mods for that matter), nor will I hesitate to defend my faith and views either. And yes, I do put my foot in it from time to time.
