Tiger had a great report at the doctor's office today. His blood counts were great, the highest they have been in ages. His chemo treatment went smoothly too. Thank you all for your prayers. And most of all, thanks be to our Lord for all the blessings He has heaped on this little boy.

What I'm talking about has nothing to do with any of you. I wasn't singling any of the regulars out. It's just we have these visitors from time to time that cause trouble, for instance: Willy.

I think he was talking to me - I don't have a Lutheran icon and he was saying that the troublemakers were the Lutherans who don't have a Lutheran icon.

Cept I can't get blamed this time. I wasn't even here.

At this point, I'm so confused by all the responses I don't know exactly whom I really was talking to.

Didn't know that was a requirement to have a Lutheran icon to identify someone as "belonging here"...

It used to be that public confession was what counted... ya know, "back in the day".

Anyway, I hope I am not a trouble-maker. Perhaps I'll leave for a while to make sure.

Oh please! I can't believe you're that thin-skinned that you would take offense at a remark not even aimed at you!

To the point of my complaint though, we did disagree sharply some weeks ago, and I was questioning if you were Lutheran. Ed had to inform me that you were indeed in the right forum. Without any indicator, how is anyone to know?

There's no rule that says a Lutheran has to have a Lutheran icon. I just believe I'm a Christian first and Lutheran second. Part of my issue is that I'm just anti-icon, period, and it's my problem, not the rest of yours.

Even though it really doesn't matter now because I wasn't there, I can also assure you for future reference that I don't run to the mods either. I get mad, complain on the open board, stomp my foot, throw a tantrum, leave for awhile and/or sulk, but I've never reported anyone and I don't plan on ever doing so either. Been accused of it a few times, but never done it. I just don't believe in it.

Someone would have to look like a child predator or something equally as bad and disturbing for me to ever hit the report button, and even then after a lot of thinking and praying about it and maybe getting others' opinions to make sure I'm not imagining things.

Mods have enough to do without having to deal with tattle-tales.

You're right! There is no rule requiring denom indicators. I also consider myself a Christian first and a Lutheran second. I really liked the metaphor of noun and adjective.

Still, there are people in ours and other sub-forums debating and stirring up trouble who have no denominational indicator. If they aren't Lutheran, there most certainly is a rule against their doing these things in our sub-forum. How can one tell though, if they don't have a denom-indicator? The only thing to do is check their page or report them. I'm not one to be a tattle-tale either. I lothe them.

It just occurred to me that I've been a Lutheran 10 years this past Palm Sunday, and forgot. What is wrong with me!

I first visited the Lutheran Church at home in September 1994, but I honestly do not remember the date that we were officially received as members. Am I bad for not remembering that? I have always pointed to the September 94 date as when I was healed of Roman Catholicism.

I only remember my date because it was Palm Sunday. If it were just about any other Sunday, I wouldn't have remebered.

This is a big year for 10's. This September will be 10 years I've known my husband.
