One thing I've learned in the last couple years--"mother" is a verb.
I'd say that qualifies. A few years ago the cartoon network had a contest for the best cartoon mom. Race Bannon, from Jonny Quest won. From someone who raised three kids by himself, I agree.
That's cool.....job well done "mom"From someone who raised three kids by himself, I agree.
Methinks I should go sleepy-by.
Like I used to tell my kids, "You can't get up in the morning unless you go to bed at night."![]()
Thanks everyone for the prayers. Tiger has a chemotherapy treatment Monday, if his blood counts are OK. He doesn't like back treatments, but he gets to go to the doctor's toy cupboard after to pick out a prize and that's the part he remembers afterward. He has one every 3 months. The other months he gets chemo through an IV and he doesn't realize they've done anything different than what they do when they take blood. Anyway, he gets to visit his special friends, the staff at the Ronald McDonald House.
Pray also that he recovers from his cold. It can be scary when he gets sick. Healthy kids catch something and might miss a day or two of school. If Tiger gets a fever, we have to call the doctor and he spends 3 or more days in the hospital. The worst is over, though. The first few months he went to the doctor every week. Now, he's in the maintenance phase and he has to go only once a month. He has the form of leukemia that's easiest to treat, although there isn't anything easy about the treatment. There's a 90% success rate. I am so thankful that God gave the doctors and medical researchers the ability to discover a treatment.
I don't know what I would have done without faith. I started reading the Bible and praying a lot more. I really had to "let go and let God". There wasn't anything else I could do. I know that God placed him with us for a reason.

I hope that you don't have a really early service to tend to this morning. I made it to bed about an hour before you. I have 8:00AM EDT Communion service to assist with this morning and then teach Bible Study.
School is hard enough on 5 hours of sleep nightly adding work to the mix is equally difficult.
I may need a nap today.
