I have not been on here much the last couple of days. I did notice Rev's post about his bathroom. I have to say that we have been in the position he is in where it is much easier to fix something ourselves than to go through the hassle of not enough money, or someone will do it (ah, when?), or that it doesn't really need done. We did so much in our last parsonage. The thing that really got me was that the members were building new homes and then they left the parsonage go.

Yes, it does happen in our churches. There was much more going on there too. I know seajoy knows a bit about it as I had shared with her when she was going through a hard time at their former church.

Let's just say that I can not believe the pettiness sometimes. They fight and leave over things that have nothing to do with their salvation, although in the end it does.

Ok, I think I need a nice bottle of cold green tea.

We have a tutoring program that I help in. Someone has to be there to when one of the men tutor too. I woke up sick thursday morning and called the guy I was supposed to be there with, we were both supposed to have someone to tutor. He was easier to get a hold of and as sick as I was I didn't feel like trying to call the lady head of the tutoring because she is very hard to get a hold of and I didn't think I could. We were sitting there working on VBS yesterday morning and she told me not to call them again to get a hold of the other lady. Told me what was I thinking, did I think she was going to help? Said she had to much stuff to do to help. She asked one lady if she'd take over her SS class Sunday, the lady said no. I said I'd do it, she told me no, the kids were used to her. The other lady there asked if I'd take over for the summer for the education since she's moving. This other lady said no she'd do it. I didn't need to do it.
I didn't say much to her. I don't like fighting, I like peace. The only problem I've ever had with the church is when the pastor said he was leaving and the president thought he could do everything. Plus it being a fairly young church and most of them been there from the beginning and if your new its like you either fit in or you don't instead of everyone working together. They don't have much going in programs to get involved in. Womens groups, couples groups, bible study's, etc., big church you can avoid people better.

I'm sorry you're going though all that, QuiltAngel. (and Rev)

Oh, we have been gone from there for 8 years now. We went from that to, "whatever you need, let us know." Usually, we make a need known and it is taken care of right away, unless it is mega bucks. They want to do everything they can to keep their Pastor. They seem to like him lots here.

ctay, that sounds so frustrating.

The older I get, the more I think we don't grow up, or at least some people don't. Some seem to be stuck in High School.

Oh, I want planting season to be done. Sneeze, Sneeze, Sneeze. Oh wait, they just started! Guess it will be a while.
