We find out the gender on Christmas Eve Literally...that's when the ultrasound appointment is. LOL. God has a funny way of giving my husband and I a Christmas present and me a birthday present (baby is due right around my birthday although technically 40 weeks is Mother's Day).

My roommates and I could use some prayers. Somebody broke into our apartment over Thanksgiving break. They didn't take too much, mostly jewelry and Wii games (the only thing really of any value to me was a pair of diamond earrings and my HS class ring - they took the entire jewelry box though...), none of us were hurt at all, but we're all still a little freaked out. Me and Roommate 1 were out of town, Roommate 2 was here and had left to get some food. She was only gone 10 minutes and had only locked the doorknob, not the deadbolt. Somebody pried open the door with a crowbar and proceeded to steal our stuff. Very scary. Roommate 2 got back and called the police, of course, but there's not a whole lot they can do.

Anyway, we all found somewhere else to stay last night since our door was broken, the door is fixed now (and deadbolt is locked), but it's the first night for us here since it happened... Prayers for comfort/safety/peace of mind would be appreciated...

The police found and arrested the robber. We, along with several other people he robbed, got almost all of our stuff back!

As today is the first Sunday of Advent, and therefore the beginning of the church year, Happy New Year, everyone!

I haven't been around here for quite a while. Real life with an active 9-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl keeps us hopping. The first anniversary of our daughter's adoption was a couple weeks ago. Our son has completely recovered from the health problems he had when he was younger. It was 10 years ago this month that we made the phone call that led us into foster care and their adoptions. We have been much blessed.

Dealing with some major issues at work. I also have a pretty bad headache today. This is the second time during the pregnancy that I've had to take a pain pill for it as it was affecting sleep.

Ouch. I had a severe headache during my whole pregnancy. After a couple of months I was so used to the pain I forgot I had it. It was a bit of a shock when I realized it was gone, and I had a baby!!

Yea I get headaches off and on and this crazy weather isn't helping so it's like hormonal headache paired with a sinus and tension headache.

I have "functional migraines", which might actually be worse than a knock-ya-flat migraine because it means I can still do things while I have it, but I'll be miserable. Stupid high pain tolerance.

So my throat is all swollen right now and I can move the thing in the front (no not the Adam's Apple!!) and it makes weird noises. Have no clue what that's about...

Other than that, life is pretty good. Anyone with headaches, I wish you speedy recoveries!

It could be your thyroid. Have you gone to have it checked out? Please do if you haven't!!

I don't think it's strep either. There's not really pain, per se, just an annoyance. Right now it's not too bad, but I can definitely feel it there. Eww.

On a lighter note, I just finished my boss' apron for work (I work at home depot and we wear orange aprons) and it has a great picture of the grinch on it. Heh.

I published my first book in print (Lady From Day) last weekend and within a day of it being live online I've got a sale. My mom was reading it on the plane to see family and a man from Wales asked her about it because it looked interesting. The sale was from Amazon UK so I think it was him.

I'm very excited about it.

Well that is a novella You could listen to the first bit of it if you wanted...it is an audio drama first.

Just finished Lady from Day. Good story. Enjoyed the intrigue set in the medievial type era.
