I'm leaving for vacation on tuesday for a week. I don't think I'll be on the internet at all. Anyway - I'm not bringing my laptop.

We will be in MN for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. It's a huge party....with tons of family.

You guys hold down the fort (kitchen) while I'm gone....ok? I have so much stuff to do over the next two days. I doubt if I'll be around here so much.

My daughter is running a marathon today in San Diego and is running with a team to raise awareness for Lymphoma & Leukemia research. Last evening when she called, she told me I can track her progress online and gave me her bib number. She has had problems with her knee and though she would have to walk the whole way. Looking at her numbers, looks like she was able to run almost half of it.

It is so much fun to see the information after she passes certain spots on the route.

i don't know how much we'll be able to update, but i'll sure try! on tuesday my pastor wants me to bring him by the church so he can give him the ".50 cent tour", LOLOL....

i'm equally excited, because my son gets to be acolyte on the sunday Rev will be going to church with us, and my daughter is now officially on the acolyte roster, her first time acolyting will be july 31st, the day before we go see Rev....

good, thanks. for me I can't really complain. I'm alive and living a pretty safe normal life. Theres people out there that have it 10 times worse than me, so I try to be an optimist as much as I can.

Her mind is still sharp as a tack and she still lives by herself. She never drove, she always walked everywhere if she had to do something, even going to the grocery store.

Agg, that reminds of something a professor did to me once. When I was in college I was ushering at the Chapel and one of my profs came in there with his grandmother and said "Kirk, I want you to meet my grandmother, she's 101 years old!" . . .

What do you say to that? I said "Oh cool, my great grandmother lived to that age!"

thank you, luther - he will arrive here at 3:50pm, after a 2+ hour layover in denver - basically he leaves at 10:15am EDT, and arrives here at 3:50pm MDT....

Ok so he's arriving at 5:50 Eastern, 4:50 Central, 3:50 Mountain, and 2:50 Pacific.

I always preferred to fly in the early morning hours personally. Lower fares, less hassle.

When I went to see Melissa I would often come home from work, go to bed by 6 PM TRY to sleep (not easy to do at 6 PM). Wake up at midnight, grab a energy drink (really about the only time I would actually drink an energy drink), drive the 3 hours to Indianapolis, catch a flight taking off at 5 or 6 AM and connect in Atlanta and usually arrive in FL before lunch time.

Ugg I miss traveling to FL. Fortunutly we'll be going there this winter but we'll probably drive the whole way. (Wife's afraid of flying)

well, he had to get up at 5:30 to catch the train to the airport - i don't think he would have been able to handle anything earlier, LOL.....
